Keeps it simple! Lots to learn about MTHR

I am not a Doctor, but realized when my daughter had pregnancy problems and took a DNA test only to discover she was toxic with overprescribed Folic Acid. We then tested for our DNA results and found I (Dad) had C677T and my wife had C1298T MTHFR hetrozgous gene mutations. Our daughter cleared her body of toxic Folic acid and was soon pregnant with second child. Based on our findings I have pursued understanding MTHFR and have greatly improved my life (86). Early books by Dr. Ben Lynch and his recent summary book are great, but this book is also helpful. It is a tough problem to solve. No doctor has all the answers but if one is committed to understanding and tracking progress one's life can be improved. Start the process with a DNA test. Understand all you can from the DNA test. A lot of it will be mysterious and still is to me but there is some information that sticks out as a problem or one can refer back to when questions and answers are needed. After testing, read this book - several times and you progress along your journey. I just bought a copy for my doctor. I hate to say this, but the patient is promoting the education of the doctor. Yes, the doctor knows way more than I do but maybe not in this area. This book could be a great read for a doctor that has not updating knowledge in DNA. One oncolgist told me, when he didn't need to know any of my DNA information. He said, "I don't need to know how you react to Warfin." Well he had me in every week to stabilize it durning Chemo. I alerted a dentist that I was alergic to Nitros Oxide. She said it was different than when I was a child and had a severe adverse reaction. My DNA said - Alergic to Nitrous Oxide! I submitted to her request to use it but, in less than a minute, I had an adverse reaction. Exceptional health today, means understanding your DNA. This book helps! One more example: It talks about how alcohol and coffee impact mythalization. I have never drank alcohol, but discovered a better life after I quit coffee recently. The book points that issue out. (30% of Europeans have a heterozygous or homozygous MTHFR mutation.)

I almost didn't buy this book because of the reviewer who claimed it was a Pamphlet with little information. What a loss that would have been. I am a 60 year young women who's body has begun to fall apart with many symptoms of MTHFR gene mutation. I have been treated by naturopaths, functional doc's and no one has come close to understanding this mutation as Dr. Robin Terranella. This is cutting edge information and if you truly suffer from these Gene mutations you will appreciate this book. It isn't a cure but it is pointing us in the right direction which no one else has done. Sure there are other Doc's doing similar work but they haven't published something as concise as this. Thank you for your Research Dr. Terranella! Here's too healing.
