Works
We tried a LOT of things before this but none of them worked (tried changing the water PH, tried the fin oil, tried erythromycin, etc.). We opted to move the fish to a big bin to avoid staining things in the tank and give more water for the medication and so it was a little bit of a pain but I will say that it actually resolved the fish's issue. We have a beautiful red and blue beta fish and the tail started to have problems, started to eventually wear away and then started to tear. We thought that it may be too late to fix the fish's fins but this actually worked. By the time it went back into the tank you couldn't really see an improvement but over the next few weeks the fish returned to a vibrant color with the fins improving and it seemed more alive. We will use this again when needed.

Fish saver
This has saved a few of my fish lives so far. I was dealing with redness along the fins where they meet the body and red gills and I was pretty skeptical this would work. I have been doing them one by one in a hospital tank with the four day treatment and it works! The thing that's irritating is a ten pack- it's a 4 day treatment, 10 is not divisible by 4. And the packs are not very cheap. Definitely do this in a hospital tank as it stains the water. If you don't have one, look for an aquarium club in your city and people always have extra tanks and equipment for cheap.

Worked for severe fin rot/open wound healing but lacks some information in the directions
This product works well. I bought this for my black moor who had severe fin rot with open wound. I will say, when doing this treatment or any other treatment to fast your fish for a week. That part is not stated in the directions for treatment (of this product or bother product). Otherwise it makes the quality of the water even worse with the medication and food bacteria together. It will also prolong the healing process because the food bacteria works against the medication making the medication less potent for your fish. You also have to pay close attention and do some math for the dosing measurements. I had a 5 gallon hospital tank so a whole packet (recommended 1 packet dosage for a 10 gallon tank was too much - so I had to divide it in half). You will see slight surface foam when treating but that goes away after a day or so. The water also gets tinted with a reddish/pinkish hue. I also did a 50% tank change instead of the recommended 25% Now I will say this - it worked well for healing the open wound part - but not knowing (initially) about not feeding during treatment left me frustrated and feeling like it wasn't working so well or as fast as it should. I did end up switching over to Melafix to finish treatment process. Depending on the severity of the illness of your fish - time, patience, research specific to your fish, figuring out proper dosage measurements to the size of your hospital tank and constant changes of water will help them get back to normal.

This stuff is magic !!!!
I highly recommend to buy this !!! My beta had some sort of infection which caused him to look dusty w orange stuff and had fin rot ! I thought I was going to loose him and all it took was one pill of this for my fishy to look like new and happy he even made me sooo many bubbles !! I’m glad this product existed and I recommend to not second guess it. Used this stuff and my beta is back like new and better than ever !!!

It didn’t hurt anyone!
I’ve seen so many complaints about this product, and I’ve concluded 3 thing. 1. Most people don’t read the instructions. 2. Even the instructions need some tweaking. 3. You can get better results with less work. Firstly. The instructions say that for every 10 gallons, you need to add 1 (one) packet. So, with some quick math, if you have a 2 gallon tank, you should split 1 packet into 5 parts. And put each dose in as 1/5th, not a whole packet. 1/5th per 2 gallons you have. Now; I took out my filter cartridge (you leave this out for 5 days your fish takes the doses), and I put in the first dose, and my betta was fine, no issues and he didn’t get stressed or anything. I added the second dose early in the AM. By the afternoon, that’s when I took out 25% of the water to give new water. Then I gave him the third dose the next morning; no problems. And then finally, on the last day, I gave him the 4th dose in the AM, then flipped 25% of his water in the PM. Finally adding my filter cartridge back into the filter. I did this because I realized how mucky the medicine seems to make the water and I had the mind frame where adding too much or having too much is worse than being under a little bit. It seems that a lot of reviews with bad experiences look to have too much in the tanks (from looking at their photos and comparing the result I got). That being said though; was this some great, magical cure? Well, no. It didn’t hurt my betta at all! If anything, yes, I think it helped his gills a little bit but after trying another product that is actually a water conditioner, I realize that this product is kind of a hand full for what it is. And that even better results can be achieved without the fuss that these give you. The product I now use, that brought my fish back from the dead after rescuing him from a dirty container, is actually also by API, and it’s the “Stress Coat +”, the bottle says it makes tap water safe and protects fish; but seriously, if your fish is in need, go find that product instead. Same company, different label. The cap has a 1ml measure at the bottom of the cup. So same deal, 1ml per 2 gallons. Good luck!
