Doesn’t break as long as you actually follow the directions
I’ve noticed that other reviewers complained about this product breaking in the microwave. This is likely because they ignored the instructions and were trying to get the product to become very hot like faster releasing heat pack materials do. This product isn’t meant to become hot, it’s just meant to become warm. The reason why it stays warm for so long is because it’s releasing the stored up heat very slowly. If you want a pack that gets hot, then this product isn’t for you. However, if you’re like me and just wanted a product that can stay warm for a long time without needing to be plugged into an electric socket, then it’s for you.Personally, I don’t use this product for pain relief, I use it for psychological comfort for when I go to bed. The heat it slowly releases feels very similar to human skin temperature warmth or to a pet mammal/bird’s warmth. I used the velcro strap to loop a heartbeat simulator around it, and then I put it between me and a large, huggable stuffed animal.

Easy to use but….
Product was easy to use and was comfortable to wear. However, to me it did not seem like it got hot enough- or not nearly as warm as my electric heat pad. You are supposed to only heat this for a max of 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, it was still only lukewarm to the touch so I heated it in 30 second increments. I think i got to 4 min in total and then half of the inner bubbles burst. It still didn’t feel real warm to the touch!!! Even though the inner bubbles burst and the liquid flowed out, it is still contained by the outer layer so it is still usable . It actually fits a little better and conforms to my husbands arm a bit better now with half of the inner bubbles gone. Husband still doesn’t think it gets real hot- and surely the heat doesn’t last that long. The cold pack by this brand is definitely better! Use an electric heat pad if you’re looking for a consistent and hotter pack!

Really does stay warm up to 2 hours
I really like this heat pack. It really did stay warm for an extended period. I love the cover. It's soft and comfortable. The strap is stretchy and keeps the pack in place. The warmth is nice and cozy, not too hot. The only reason i didn't give it a five is because the 3rd or fourth time i used it something happened to the bubbles on one half. They went rather flat. I followed the instructions correctly, so I'm not sure what happened. That side still gets and stays warm but not as long as the other half that still has "inflated" bubbles. Still a great product and I would recommend it to anyone with pain. I used it along with the cold pack for minor ligament tear.

Works great, follow directions
I had to have a plate put in my wrist a few months ago, and it's still very stiff. This is just the right size to wrap around my wrist and strap it on so I can still do stuff while using it. It's also a low enough temp that if I fall asleep with it on it's not dangerous.Follow the directions to a T (I have a cryomax ice pack and it's the same way). If you don't know how many watts your microwave is, err on the side of caution or it will explode. Keep in mind this doesn't get hot, it gets warm. Says right on the box the warmest it should be is 160 degrees. Don't microwave it any longer than it says to, don't rewarm it until 2 hours have passed, and always keep it in the cover. If you want something warmer for stubborn pain, get a plug in heat mat.

Simply the best......
Follow the directions provided with the product and you will be absolutely amazed at how long this device holds the heat. We've unfortunately had MANY heating pads, but this one is bar far the absolute BEST we have ever had...

Design flaws
It says to microwave for 1:30 for 1200 watts - and to lay flat. However, the product is too long to rotate in a standard microwave if it is laid flat! I also tried rotating it myself halfway through, but it barely gets warm at all. I realized that the plastic does get pretty warm, but you can't feel it through the comfort wrap hardly at all. The comfort wrap is a great idea - but maybe it is too thick - so you can't actually get the heat from the pack.If they made the wrap thinner and the pack a few inches shorter, this would be perfect. Otherwise, it's hard to heat and then barely feels warm at all.

It really works and PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION!
I have purchased ThermalMAX Heat Pack four times (for me, my Dad, my Mom, and my Uncle). It really works great and it does provide hours of warm heat for pain relief.I see some people having trouble using it, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION!The instruction is not very lengthy and it takes just few mins to fully read through it. Once you read it fully and follow instruction on how to use it (it is very easy to use), the product provides hours of pain relief warm heat and the product itself last a long time.I seldom leave a product review and I hate to see a good product been reviewed badly by people who never read instruction on how to properly use it.

Sucks
Says can be use on the next but you actually can’t unless you’re going to hold it there. False advertising
