FoodSaver® Reusable Gallon Vacuum Zipper Bags

I’ve been using FoodSaver reusable vacuum zipper bags for years, so I came into this latest version already expecting a solid product. What I didn’t expect was how much of an improvement the redesigned valve would make — and it truly feels like a game changer.Previous versions worked well, but sealing required a bit of juggling. You often had to hold the suction attachment in place and keep pressing on the valve to maintain a proper seal during vacuuming. With this upgraded design, that extra effort is gone. I have used the full-size Food Saver Vacuum Sealer for almost 3 decades…. even when I was a single parent of one child. People think these are only for large families buying in bulk but, I have always purchased sometimes in bulk sometimes not when things are on sale or at the big box stores and then vacuum sealed for future use because I got a good deal.Having said that, this past Christmas my husband purchased a smaller handheld compact version from Food Saver and I honestly didn’t think I would really have a need for it or use it because my full-size unit has a pullout hose for storage containers and wine bottles and marinade container containers. BUT!!! I also use this smaller version all the time. It came with a couple of these reusable bags as well as disposable bags and I have cents purchased more. What I like about the reusable bags is they are easy to wash and reuse and are thicker than the disposable ones so they are great for when you cut an onion especially because of the gas and odors that onions put off. These reusable bags being thicker protect that odor from going through your refrigerator. I cook all the time and I use onions all the time so especially red onions for salads, it’s a quick way to store it, keep it totally fresh and not have the stink going through your other foods in the refrigerator.Additionally, it comes with a handy little clip to make sure the bag is tightly sealed before vacuuming. Very easy to use.Highly recommend and I also strongly recommend food saver products!

I've been using vacuum sealed bags for more than a decade. As a chef I used restaurant grade bags from a well known manufacturer that were not marketed commercially. They discontinued these bags. Fortunately, I had a large inventory.I finally ran out of the quart size bags and thought I was out of luck. I happened to see these from FoodSaver and decided to try them. They are vastly superior to the ones I have been using. My hand-held vacuum pump works perfectly with them. The bags seal in just a few seconds. My old bags took 30-45 seconds to seal. The FoodSaver bags remove all the air and I would say this is a restaurant grade vacuum.I highly recommend these bags and its nice to know that FoodSaver will be around for a long time.

Now that it is just the two of us, we vacuum seal pretty much everything. Pretty much nothing comes packaged for just one or two people. We also downsized to their rechargeable hand-held unit. We've been using the pint size version of these for several years and they work great, and we've been itching for them to come out with the gallon size. So, thank you FoodSaver for listening. The only issues we've had with this style is the valves get stuck shut some times and they are a little bit of a pain to clean depending on what you put in them. Most of the time, we can just put them across four prongs of the top shelf of the dish washer in our daily load, but when they don't come out completely clean we have found a 1.5 - 2 inch bottle brush with bristles at the tip works best for getting down into the corners of the bags. Your milage may vary.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ – Love the concept, but be prepared for some trial and errorI really like the idea behind these FoodSaver Reusable Quart Vacuum Zipper Bags — they’re convenient, eco-friendly, and versatile. But you’ll want to experiment a bit to get the best results.I use them with my FoodSaver V4400 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealer Machine and the handheld accessory attachment. My plan was to store or freeze items like leftover cheese, English muffins, and meats.✅ Tips & Observations:English muffins: Pre-freeze before vacuuming! It helps keep their structure intact during sealing.Cheese: Sliced cheese works better than shredded. The shredded kind tends to clump together after a couple of reseals due to the suction. Sliced cheese holds up well, but I did notice air creeping back in over time, so I had to reseal a few times. Make sure the top seal snaps securely into place.Bacon: Works great! Since I use it often, I didn’t notice any air pockets forming.🧼 Cleaning:They’re easy to wash, but drying takes patience. Even though they’re dishwasher-safe, you’ll still need to let them air dry for a full day and finish with a paper towel to remove any remaining moisture. That’s not a dealbreaker, just something to plan for.💬 Final Thoughts:Overall, I’m very happy with these bags. They’re reusable, easy to clean, and great for certain foods. I’ll just be selective about what I store in them and take extra care when drying and sealing.Note: This feedback is real — AI was only used to create a polished version of my actual experience.

As always, I don't think you can top the quality of FoodSaver brand vacuum bags. I use these to keep opened cat food cans fresh once opened. My cat is the fussiest eater and loves freshly opened food from the can. One day stored open in the fridge, though, and it's a no-go with this guy. Using my little handheld vacuum machine and these ziplock bags keeps it fresh and acceptable to the critter. I use these over and over again and they keep on holding vacuum time and time again.Eventually, though, I do wear them out, so I am happy to order another set.

I have tried every conceivable product to keep food fresh to last longer. Even still, cheeses start to mold, lunch meat gets yucky, etc.Using Foodsaver reusable zipper bags with my vacuum sealer checks all the right boxes and I am over the moon with this winning combo. Not only does this prevent tossing away food, but you can reuse these bags over and over.I will not use another brand because the quality and thickness of the material AND the zip closure make this the best!I love that they include a handy tool in each box to assist the "zip close" process.The valves work great, the zip tops stay sealed, and you easily wash/dry them to use another time. WIN-WIN!!

One of the bags arrived with a 1/4” hole in it out of the box. At the price of these and what they’re being used for, quality control should not allow for something that looks like this (see pic) to make it into the box. First box I bought all were good. FYI, these WILL eventually stop holding a vacuum so be aware that you will need to buy again. My first ones lasted for dozens of uses each and with being run through the dishwasher to clean. They DO NOT freeze well though. The ones I did use in freezer prematurely wore out and stopped holding a vacuum.

Sadly they don't keep their vacuum, and must be filled nearly everyday to avoid freezer burnsI thought they are better than the older generation but Sadly they are not

Great product . 3rd type of sealer I have bought. This is by far the best and easiest.

Fantastic bags. Wish they were cheaper but work well and hopefully helps the environment a little with reuse. Also keeps bread and meats very well in freezer
