Good for light weight cameras
A fairly good product to mount camera on table. However, for top view i.e. camera facing downwards, only mount a light-weight camera, else the ball head can't hold the weight for long and will keep changing the position.

The construction is solid, but it falls short in durability. The clip attached to the table connects to a rod using glue. The more you turn the whole setup, the weaker the glue becomes, causing it to rotate without restraint. I've received two replacements, and both had the same problem.

Great for tablet bed holder
Be sure to keep the mini hex wrench tool. Tape it to the bar or something. Most typical hex wrench wouldn't fit under the ball head. Not enough clearance. Important to lock the segment to prevent rotation. Construction is sturdy, solid and good quality. No rough edges, flex ,rattling or shoddy imperfections. The levers to tighten each segment was smooth and held firmly without slipping. LS08 is the base with 3 segment. Had to purchase LS06 for two extra extension to position as bed side tablet holder. It is rated to hold 1kg in the horizontal angle at 1 segment length. Do use some logic/physics as 1kg hanging horizontal by more than 1 segment creates more leverage. Hence that 1kg is actually more. Should work well for mic, webcam or small cameras. My Sony A7RV with lens was too heavy to be held up safely.
