Amazon Basics Adjustable 1 Inch Curtain Rods for Windows, Cap Finials, 72" to 144", Nickel

These are great, unobtrusive, black curtain rods. We moved a year ago, and I have 3 in the new house currently, and 2 more in my cart. If you're like me, and prefer simple, fade-into-the-background type drapery treatments, you won't be disappointed. The black is a matte finish, the finials are plastic but perfect as far as girth goes. They don't look too chunky and don't stick out too far. No one would be able to tell they aren't metal unless they touch them. If your drapes are super heavy, I'm not convinced these will hold them. I am using a thicker, lined, linen curtain and they are perfect for that. I did not have any trouble with any of the hardware at all (nothing arrived missing or broken, and nothing broke or bent during installation). A favorite designer said something like 'curtain rods are the eyeliner of a room'. These are definitely that, in an understated, classy way.

I installed these on my porch. These were put in wood and the screws provided worked just fine without the plastic anchors. I have light curtains up, 3 on each side of the door. Mostly to block the sun in the morning and provide a little privacy. They look pretty, do their job and it was easy for me to install. I am 73 yrs. of age but me and my drill can do just about anything. Lol

The best curtain rod I have ever had. Just bought a house that needs updates and curtains was my first cosmetic update but I didn’t want to spend a bunch on the rods so I got this and I’m now removing all my other >80$ rods and replacing them with this amazon basic classic rod!! My other rods were a pain in the butt to install and bent over time. This is sturdy, easiest assembly ever and a modern sleek look or classic with options for different colors and ends. Love it!

This rod (72”-144”) did not disappoint. It came with everything I needed including 3 hanging brackets to get it set up in my travel trailer to create one long privacy curtain for one of my nieces who will be traveling with us to the Keys for the summer. The pics make the rod look curved but its not. It’s just the panorama view... sorry. The finials on the ends are very substantial. Much bigger than I expected... approximately 3” in diameter.It would have gotten 5 stars if the center pole was a little longer to provide additional support in the middle of the rod and if the rod somehow screwed together or had some type of rubber gaskets that would limit the sliding the middle pole has a tendency to do when you move curtains along the rod. My quick fix for this issue was some little black rubber bands that I slid on the middle rod near where the middle rod slides into each end piece. It helps but its not perfect. It also got knicked up easily as I worked to get it hung up. But the curtain covers those, so no worries there. Hubby was concerned when I shared my vision but after he saw it installed he said it looked like it always belonged there and looked well-done. He wants it to stay up beyond my niece’s stay to help insulate during winter camping heating season. We’ll see how it holds when the trailer’s in tow. If the rod and curtain are on the floor once we reach our destination, they may have to be installed on an as needed basis... which reminds me, the way the brackets are made makes it very easy to remove everything except the screws so that is a plus for my purpose. I read other reviewer complaints about how the hanging bracket was made... no complaints here. I also bought a shorter rod and some hanging brackets that I decided not to use or realized that I didnt need because I didn’t notice until after the fact that the rods came with everything you needed... reading is fundamental-UGH! Overall it does the trick and looks nice.

These were used with lace curtains and blackout curtains. The installation was easy, they can be easily adjustable, are stable and seem of good quality. The black rods were perfect for what I was looking for.

Sturdy construction and modern look that fits well with most decor. The one inch diameter rod looks good with grommet top curtains , filling the space without constricting so that pulling to open or close is smooth and easy. Depending on how much the rod is extended, there will be a small bump to clear but it is no problem in my opinion. Installing the brackets, is easy once you know how. An electric drill is almost a necessity. Or very strong hands! There are three brackets supplied but my windows are not that big so I only used two. Took longer to install than I expected mostly because I was unfamiliar with the drill and because I had to stand on a stool, and fiddle around with lighting so as to make sure the rod was at the right height and level. Looks great!

It works. Been buying these over the years and these Amazon basic rods are still consistent.

This was fantastic. Easy to instal and came very well packaged from Amazon. I actually didn't know that delivery happened on Sunday so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door this morning to take the dogs outside. I installed it without any issues and now I can't wait for my curtains to come in so I can complete my room! The durable metal appears strong and I feel would still be strong enough without the middle support.. Although from past experience I would still recommend installing the middle support anyway. (just saying it is a strong rod) Also, it comes with a smaller middle rod that goes inside the two bigger ones to offer even more support for long or heavy curtains. Easy install, durable and strong, nice metal, color matches well with my grey walls, packaged perfectly, Sunday delivery... over-all very satisfied!
