TWIN SWEET DREAMS LOW LOFT Review: My four year old has been sleeping with us for two years and since we’re in quarantine I thought it would be a good time to get her sleeping in her own bed. We looked at several loft beds because her room is small and we wanted to give her more play area underneath her bed but for safety, we didn’t want a bed as high as a regular bunk bed. She actually picked this bed out herself because it looks like a playhouse underneath the bed. The assembly was pretty easy just took a while because of the size. It took my husband about three hours one night to assemble the bed and about another hour the next night to assemble the dresser. The bed is very sturdy and made from solid wood, no particle board. The railing is pretty high and would be perfect for a mattress nine inches high or less as is recommended. For comfort, however, the mattress I purchased was ten inches high and I thought it would still be ok but the railing ended up a little too low then for my comfort. An easy fix was we purchased a kids bed safety rail which easily slid under the mattress and between the mattress and railing. The only gripe I would have is that the wood smells like it had just been painted but the smell went away after a few days. I would let it air out for a few days before either putting it together or letting your child sleep in it. My gripe though is minimal compared to the quality of the bed and how much my daughter loves it. We joke about how she’s now a teenager because she spends a lot more time playing on her room. With the help of an ok to wake clock, she has now slept in her own bed for almost three weeks! She’s excited every night to get in her new bed. Review: We bought this bed as a Christmas present for our 3 year old, after reading some of the recent reviews I decided to put it together last night to be sure it was what we wanted, and it is. So if you bought this and were worried by the 1 star reviews dont be. This bed is made of solid pine in Brazil, not China, the box does have the label "California 93120 compliant for formaldehyde Phase 2" but that doesnt mean that it was used, most likely wasnt as this is a solid wood product, It does not smell at all. Now we get to the fun part, building it! If you can use a hammer and screw driver your in luck, this is a very easy build for a reasonably competent human being. The screw wholes line up perfectly, it's not to hard to build by ones self, I did, and it takes about 3 hours. A tip is to lightly hammer the large screws in to get them to bite and dont over tighten them. As for the price, yes it's a bit steep but it's a quality product so it's worth the money. Overall I'm happy with this and would recommend it.

Very well built. Once put together it's extremely sturdy. The directons aren't bad but a few small things could be better. Some advice... Keep the pieces in numerical order it will help and grab a drill with phillips and a hex head bit. Says it should take 2 hours but I feel I'm a pretty handy guy and took me closer to 4-5 hours.

I have a 4 year old who needed a bed upgrade and this bed is perfect for her! It’s not too high up and even has a play space/ storage underneath. We bought even though the reviews were 50/50. We had a great experience, easy assembly. Did take about 2/3 hours to set up but pretty easy. Everything was in great shape, nothing broken. I seen a lot of people complain about a smell, ours did smell like wood almost like being in a Lowe’s store but we left it out for the night before and the smell went away after the first day. But my daughter absolutely loves this bed!

It smells like wood. Yes, it's kind of strong, but it's a wood smell nonetheless. It is mainly made of wood, with a few pieces of MDF boards. It took my husband and I approximately 3 hours to put the bed and dresser together with two toddlers helping us. For those not familiar with putting furniture together, I might take you a little bit longer. Instructions were easy to follow. It's extremely sturdy. My 6'2" 180 lb husband can sit on it. We bought it for our almost 4 year old and it's a good height. She can easily climb up and down the ladder herself. She loves the play area underneath.
