Works great with the Anova sous vide. The bags that are included can be reused. We sous vide a few times a week and have had this item for 9 months so far and it works great. We have had to clean it and charge it, but it is still sealing nicely.

The suction power is better 1000% better than my 30 year old food saver. 50% better than my Food Saver when it was new. I charged it overnight using a phone charger and it was ready to go this morning. We are always wasting onions because we don't use the whole onion soon enough so I put some cut onions in a plastic bag which I didn't seal completely. Then I put that bag in the Anova bag so as to keep the Anova bag clean. In less than 20 seconds I had a perfect vaccuum seal. This will pay for itself quickly in food saved, not to mention the extra freshness of the food. I really like the small size for storage reasons. If it only lasts a year, I will just buy another.

It’s impossible to attach the device to the prepackaged bags in order to get good suction. I thought that this item would be the best thing for very small items but it never once completely suctioned the air out. It’s clumsy to use and that’s why the suction was so poor. And now I can’t return to Amazon because I neglected to see I was over 30 days. What a waste of money! And, I can’t use the bags with my full size Food Saver device.

I really love this vacuum sealer and its flexibility utilizing resealable bags. The only downside is that it didn’t last very long — about 8 months and it just stopped working. It was very effective while it worked. At least it is not exorbitantly expensive (so far) so replacing it is not bankrupting.

I ordered this vacuum sealer to use while we are traveling in our RV. It's a perfect size and the bags take up less room than plastic containers. Tested it on some almonds, see picture, and worked great. I especially like that the bags can be opened and resealed and are washable. I will send an updated review later after we start using it while on the road but for now is packed away.

Others might be good at throw away bags but this handy one rules for ported bags. Keep it on the counter or in a drawer, it’s always handy. Pro tip: place it firmly and walk away and let it finish.
