I bought it thinking it would be thick. But it is so thin and when places on the kitchen counter to iron the steam concentration on the kitchen counter sweeper back to the top and started wetting the cloth that I was ironing. I could not recommend this product for steam iron. And it is very thin. Should have been better if it was thick.

@ Bought : Multi-colour arrow design mat ------------------------------------------------------- I didn't want to fill living room space of my 2 BHK apartment with an Ironing Board, And this came as a rescue! * Any table or hard bed can be utilised to iron clothes using this * Size is sufficiently large for most regular clothing - Approx 4 Feet x 2 Feet * While ironing, to keep the hot iron a Silicon Mat is provided which is highly effective in preventing the table underneath from getting warm * Laminated cotton fabric is good and slightly thick - It makes ironing easier than doing it directly on the bed * Space saver - Can be easily folded and kept in as a roll * Washable fabric makes it easy to use and improves longevity of the item But, to be honest, I would advise you not to use it on expensive polished furniture made of wood since it may ruin some polish if used at the same place for ironing for a long period of time. Overall, a well designed product which seems better than an ironing board to me. $$ Cost is rather justified and I would like to buy it again from Encasa Homes. :)

Is as is described! The back is fibre that comes loose so has to be hand washed but grt nevertheless!

Good value for money. Great when you don't have the space for a ironing board. It would be great if they had elastic for the corners as the ties don't fit my table, and I would be able to iron faster if it was more secure. Well padded. The heat resistant bottom layer could be a bit thicker, it is still harmful for the (admittedly probably cheap) coat of varnish on my table unless I put an extra towel underneath. The Iron holder is really useful, and I sometimes use it for other hot things too (like pots)
