I used them as trainer books for my kids and now are using them for my grandson. Kids love the colours of the pictures and it is a teaching tool when you go for exploring walks too. Just love them. They are expensive, but they are laminated and hold up to quite a bit of rambunctiousness. I have quite a few, his favourites are the butterflies, wildlife, mushrooms, and flowers. Hope he enjoys this one too. Just for information…I have a variety of toddler books, board, and paper, plus these and other type of bird Id booklets. He will bring me these pocket guides just as often as the sweet children stories for me to read to him. I start using this for a one year old, with supervision. He is now 2, and loves looking at them on his own too. Thank you.

Awesome guide. Got it for my nephew who loves bugs and it has a bunch of species on it. Nicely laminated so it won't wear easy.
