Seriously. I don’t know why I waited so long to buy this. Improved workflow and safety.
If you haven’t purchased this foot pedal for your Proxxon rotary tool, run out and get one! It’s a game changer. Controlling the workflow with a foot pedal is much safer and more convenient than turning it on and off with the dial on the handle. I have a Proxxon model building and engraving set, 38515. It’s the best rotary tool I’ve owned. The foot pedal makes it even better. I wish I had purchased everything sooner. Can’t recommend it enough. There may be multiple versions, so check to make sure it’s compatible with your Proxxon system when ordering.

What is there to say, you step on the gas, it goes. Steel construction, fairly heavy AC cord. If only buy one accessory for your hot wire table, get this! Being able to use both hands while turning the heat on and off with your foot is invaluable!

Appropriate for price
This foot switch works as intended. It makes a fairly quiet clicking sound when pressed, and takes a trivial amount of force to hold down. It is not variable resistance, so it will power up devices immediately. It comes with two screw holes for mounting to the floor, but will sit still just fine without that.My only complaint is trivial: This switch is only rated for up to 4 amperes. This is plenty for the Proxxon tools, and for just about anything else I can think of plugging into this pedal. If for some reason you're looking for a pedal that can safely handle more current, then you might want to consider a different product.NOTE: At least at the time of this posting, the picture is incorrect. The plugs on this product are for North American outlets.

Makes using the Proxxon so much easier.
I am used to the foot pedals on a sewing machine. This is so much better than flipping the switch on and off between adjusting the foam sheet keeping the alignment perfect. Also stops the odor of burning foam!

Great for the proxxon Hotwire table cutter
This switch is great for allowing two hands on the proxxon hotwire table cutter. A real improvement from trying to turn off the table manually and preventing the foam from burning. Seems a little flimsy but works better than expected with a satisfying depression feel.

A great addition to my Proxxon Tool
I wanted a foot pedal control v. having to manually shut my Proxxon Rotary Tool on and off at the end of the tool. If you are looking for something to control speed this is not what you want. it is strictly a on/off device. I have a couple of restoration projects and this will be a very helpful addition. I was mildly disappointed this foot switch was made in China but it is what it is and will work fine for my purposes.

Advertised incorrectly! This is a 110V device with a US plug, and the listing at time of writing does not mention this anywhere at all - had to return. Please be aware.

great safety product
use the foot switch as as a single source of power for all my power tools. This way I power only the tool that I'm using at the time and no hunting for the tools on off switch while it is running
