Sturdiness good for large hats.

Very nicely constructed and very pretty

This is one of those multi-purpose items where a seller tries to grab the attention of as many people as possible, by listing the item under multiple categories: storage container, toy box, hat box, etc.Maybe I should have paid more attention and done a bit more digging, before buying this for use as a 'hat box'. I suppose if you are looking for somewhere to keep generic hats, or hats that weren't all that expensive, this will work. But then, any type of container would therefore work, for such hats.I happen to have expensive hats, some with brims, and where I needed to ensure they retain their shape. With this 'hat box', I guess the idea is that you just throw the hats on top of each other. This is no way to keep expensive, brimmed hats in shape.In addition, this container arrived all folded up, and, due to its thick felt fabric, the folds in the fabric remained. This means that the container ends up having lots of 'dents' in it, and areas where the sides of the container are pressing in on the hats inside. Again, this is not optimal for expensive hats where you are trying to retain the hat's shape.I'm going to have to return this and find an actual hard-sided box in which to keep my hats.Also, this container is quite large...larger than you may be able to visualize. I recommend you use a tape measure to plot out just how large this is vs where you would plan to keep it, inside a closet etc.For those who have hats for which this container WOULD WORK, I recommend that before you put your hats inside, that you stuff the container with towels, sheets, blankets...anything that can fill up all the space inside the container. Then zip the container closed and let it sit like that for a day or two, then remove the towels, etc. That might help to work out most of the 'dents' that resulted in the sides of the container, due to it being folded tightly for packaging/shipping....

Good Quality

First the positives: decent size, fit most of my hats. Like the handles and travel conversion option of putting it on my suitcase. Shipped lightning fast. Secure packaging.The negatives: it was in a trifold, across the width of the box. I don't think that's the best way to ship it, because it's going to take some time for the bends/folds to work itself out. I think having the top amd bottom lay flat with the "folds" in the height would've been better but I can understand why that would be harder to ship. Also, my largest 17" hats do not fit and I thought they would. I'll re-measure my hats and the box. It could be me. However I have so many hats that I will be keeping this because all other hats fit great inside. Nice height, a lot fit in.

I like the plastic area where hats can be viewed. Room enough for several hats. A very good storage container.

This arrives exactly as it looks! It is quite stylish. It holds up in airlines overhead bins perfectly. I travelled to Ghana and back by and it held up beautifully! I’m going to purchase as gifts
