SUPERB high power light kit - for the price, you won't find better.
This kit checks all the boxes, and in fact its the only kit that I've used where I haven't felt like I'm making a compromise between price and performance.Simply put - Fovitec nailed it with their LumNX 80, soft box studio lighting kit. For less than $350, this kit has everything you need to get your studio lit up at a professional level, with the ability to build upon it as well.WHAT YOU GET:* 2x 80w COB LED lights with standard Bowen S-mounts that make it easy, and affordable to find additional accessories, or use the ones you already have (I purchased some generic 7inch reflectors to go with mine)* 2x AC power cable for the lights (no power brick!)* 2x tripods with adjustable height up to 6ft.* 2x pop out soft boxes that fit over the lights (2ft wide)* 2x zippered cases to store each soft box.* 2x Bowens clamps, for another way to mount the lights to the tripods* 1x hella nice, very large, zippered, and padded, duffle bag that serves as the case to hold all the gear.* Several spare AC fuses (didn't count, looked like 10-ish total) for the lights, in case you blow one out.THE LIGHTS:The lights themselves are 80 watt COB LEDs, AC powered, with no battery power option, but also no giant power supply to contend with like you get with panel lights. The lights have an on/off toggle, as well as a dial to control brightness between 0-100, as well as color temperature between 2,200k - 5,600k. Press the dial to switch between adjusting brightness or color temperature. The dial doesn't turn forever, and instead it stops at the min and max points, which I really like. Another thing I like about the lights is that the brightness adjusts in a very linear fashion, with each step between 0 and 100 providing an equal change in the amount of light being put out, providing a wide range of lighting options. The one thing I felt lacking from this kit, was a remote control for the lights, or at the very least one that could be used to turn them on and off.The LCD screen at the back provides visual output for the current settings.. Colors come out more accurate than they do with the other lighting kits I've used in this price range, reducing the amount of time I have spend editing and color correcting. The 80w are readily apparent when you turn the brightness up all the way, providing incredible output that makes it easy to get your subject properly lit without shadows.REFLECTORS:There are two different options available for this kit, one that comes with reflectors and barndoor/flag attachments, and the other which comes with soft boxes instead of reflectors. The fact that they lights themselves use a standard Bowen S-mount at the front makes it easy to purchase accessories for them, regardless of which kit you end up purchasing initially. Since I currently do more indoor, small-scale product photography, I ended up purchasing some generic 7 inch reflectors to fit over my lights so I could use them with my set up as oppose to the soft boxes that my kit came with. A lot of the accessories that you find for the more expensive, Godox brand lights will work with these. The soft boxes that come included with the soft box version of the kit are well above average, so I'd recommend going with that kit over the barndoor kit, since those accessories are easier to find sold separately.SOFTBOXES:The soft box version of Fovitec's LumNX 80 kit comes with two, pop out, 2 foot x 2 foot soft boxes that fit over the front of the lights, around the fin at the edge as opposed to being mounted using the Bowen mount. They're incredibly easy to deploy - literally just take them out of their cases and slide them over the lights and you're ready to shoot. The quality is well above what I've seen included in other kits at this price, with the soft boxes deploying into a solid, rigid structure that stands out from the flimsy offerings I've seen from competitors. The result is a high quality soft box set that's perfect for shooting portraits both indoors and out.TRIPODS:The tripods that come included with the kit are also better than I expected, and provide a very stable base for the the lights. That said, I decided to use the lights with my own tripods for now, since I'm using a small, indoor setup with less real estate to work with and therefore didn't accommodate having the two included tripods deployed in such close proximity to each other. The photos I included with this review do not show the included tripods, rather my own. The ones that come included have a base that spreads out considerably more than the ones pictured, which is great for outdoor shoots or larger studios, so keep that in mind.CASE:I'm in love with this case - it fits everything so well, I was even able to fit my two LED panel lights within it, and two additional tripods. Essentially, it has enough room, padding, and compartments to fit the LumNX kit, with space for some of your existing gear as well. I am able to store all my gear in one, secure bag that is easy to pack up and carry around with me.BOTTOM LINE:Every part of this kit exceeded my expectations - from the high quality, super bright COB LED lights, the tripods, and the case, its all punching way above its weight class. This kit has allowed me to finally get the well lit shots I've been trying to get, at a price I'd be happy to pay as a consumer. You truly won't find better for the price!

A great budget lighting kit
For the price, it's really hard to beat this 2 light setup. Considering what you are getting; 2 *)w COB LED lights, 2 24" softboxes, 2 6' light stands and a case. The quality of the lights themselves are actually quite good. Yes, they are a mostly plastic build quality but there is metal in places where it counts such as the area where you connect them to light stands. There are a couple other areas where they had to sacrifice to save money such as the lack of a remote control and no reflector. However you are getting 2 24" clamp on softboxes instead of the reflectors. Keep in mind which the lights are Bowens mount lights, these soft boxes are not. They simply clamp out to the light but the softboxes are very secure when connected to the lights. The softboxes have double diffusion so you are getting some beautiful soft light output. The color accuracy seems right on as well in my testing. Not perfect, but for the price I was happy.I did want to mention the light stands are better than your average budget light stands. The clamp areas between pole sections are actually metal. They have the reverse fold up bases to the break down to a really small length. Everything fits nicely into the large soft bag they included. At this price point I don't think you can get another 2 light kit this bright included all the accessories you need like the case, softboxes and case.

Compact and super bright
This is my go to light kit! This light kit is ready right out of the box. When it comes to lighting, it can get really expensive, if you go too cheap that will show too. With this light kit, I feel it’s the perfect balance between cost and production value. For the price you get two daylight light kits with a Bowen’s clamp and has 80w of power. It comes with two soft boxes that pop up easily like those car shades that you twist to open, and it comes with two light stands. It’s a great light kit that all fits in an included carrying bag. I used this on set filming an indoor interview and I was perfectly happy at 30% intensity. It’s made out of a very sturdy plastic that feels great and makes it super light yet doesn’t feel cheap at all. I hate having to build up a kit, having a kit come with everything you’ll need is a time saver as well as a money saver!

Excellent dual continuous lighting
I'm quite happy with these lights. Both are very bright and can be adjusted via the knob on the back. On light is plenty bright for video and photography and the 2nd works well as a fill light. The included softboxes are handy but a little hard to refold when done. But that is a minor complaint.
