A Goonies fan's dream!
So let me preface this review by stating that I may be a little bit biased due to my love of the Goonies movie. I live in Oregon and have family in Astoria where the Goonies was filmed. I attend the Goonies Festival every year (June 7th) in Astoria and have been in the house and have gone to every major filming location.Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I heard this level pack was coming out and I had it preordered for probably 6 months until it was delivered to my house today. I can say I was not disappointed with how well it turned out, it is fantastic and does the Goonies name proud. I mean you can actually do the truffle shuffle in this game, it's Chunk's special attack.Until today I have probably not touched Lego dimensions in over 6 months at least. I love the lego games but am not a fan of some of the game play mechanics that are in dimensions. Specifically, I hate having to manipulate the mini figures on the portal every 2 minutes to progress through the levels. It is annoying and if you have a large tv and have to sit more than a few feet away from it you have to get up every 2 minutes and slide the figures around (or make the kids do it).I am happy to say that there is very little of that in this level pack, in fact I don't remember a single time in the first couple hours I had to get up to move a figure around. They finally did this one right if you ask me. The story and the style are also amazing and follow the movie plot amazingly well while still adding in new surprises. There are some really funny cameos from other movie characters in this game but they don't distract from the Goonies feel. There are only a couple of small complaints that I have so far and they are nothing bad enough to deduct a star however.1. So far the only mini figure that has been released is Sloth, I would have really liked to see all of the goonies in lego form. You do get One Eye'd Willies Pirate Ship & the Organ from the movie and you do get to play as the other characters in the level. Hopefully they will release the others as character packs.2. Chunk's character model looks too skinny if you ask me, I mean come on his name is Chunk! It does look pretty good when you do the truffle shuffle though.3. So this last one is pretty picky but for me it's pretty annoying. Chunk gives sloth candy bars but they are just generic chocolate bars, seriously why are they not Baby Ruth's? Why couldn't they license the right candy bar, it's advertising right? You would think that it would be a no brainer and for me that was a big piece of the movie.Overall the add on adds a lot of content with a ton to do and explore. If you are a Goonies fan, don't hesitate to pick this up and if your not you should be.Anyone interested can check out the first 20 minutes of gameplay I posted on youtube: youtu.be/sYEMuiny0_Q

Hey you guys!
Great addition to Lego Dimensions. The figure, ship and organ look great and would be a good shelf piece for anyone who loves lego and doesn't play dimensions . I think the organ is one of my favorite accessory designs. The level itself is a lot of fun, giving you the movie from Sloth and Chunk's perspective as they try and find the rest of the Goonies. There is lots to do, and contains a decent amount of playtime, especially if you are looking for all the minikit pieces. And yes you do get to switch between all the Goonies as playable once you complete the level, similar to the Ghostbusters and A-Team, which is an added bonus. The adventure world is also very well made. The town feels like it was pulled right out of Oregon, and there is a lot going on above ground in the town as well as in the caves and lagoons below.I wish some of the other 80s properties had full levels associated with them, because they do a fantastic job with them. Just have to see what year 3 brings.A must for Dimensions and Goonies fans.

Pricey, but worth it.
If you've played Lego Dimensions, then you know what you're getting...which is awesomeness! It's Goonies heaven (aside from a less than stellar voice acting cast) and you'll be happy to reside there, if only for a little while. You get Sloth, One-Eyed Willie's pirate ship and the Skeleton organ, of which the latter two can be rebuilt twice into different designs with different abilities. Also, some of these are necessary to complete all of the missions in various areas. The pirate esthetics could seem pretty cool to kids and the nostalgia (I was born in 77) will be appealing to the parents and other adults.

HEY YOU GGUUUUUUYYYYYSSSSS!!!
Do you like the Goonies? Do you like BabyRuthes? Do you like doing the truffle shuffle while being chased by a family of notorious Italian gangsters while gaining the alliance of their deformed super strength dropped at birth repeatedly son/brother while looking for an abandoned pirate ship owned by the most cut throat sea dog; who made Black Beard wet his pants and made Captain Hook wish he took that hook and pulled his eye out instead of being chased by a crock and tormented by a pixi boy Legend of Zelda cosplayer, ONE EYED WILLY!?!?!?! Well sadly this game is in Lego form and not realistic like Ghostbusters WHICH I SEE AS THE NEW MOVIE! NOT THE ONE WITH THE GIRLS! .... what was I saying? Oh yeah! Get this Lego Goonies pack. It's nostalgia for you the adult! Teach your kids something good for once and not riding hover/roller boards and making YouTube videos trying to be famous.

Another great '80s property added to Lego Dimensions
I'm old enough to remember watching the Goonies when I was a kid (although it wasn't brand new at the time), so seeing this get not only added to the game but also get a level pack made me really happy. I obviously think the value of this pack, like many others this wave, is equivalent to how much nostalgia you have over the IP. I grew up watching a lot of these '80s movies, so I saw this as an instant buy. I'm not sure how popular The Goonies is with younger generations, so I'm not sure if kids will be all that excited over adding Sloth to the game. But if you are an older fan or are a parent playing with your child, this could be a great hit with you.
