Great upgrade from Advance Beginner
Was skeptical that an upgrade in paddle would make that much difference in my performance. I was totally surprised how much better my serve returns and control over balls were. Other players noticed it too. ... Should have applied my approach to paddle selection as I do woodworking tools. You can feel quality and results are better. Same applies with pickleball paddles and this Joola Paddle will really help me improve my game. I have large hands and the grip is very comfortable.

Great All-Around Paddle!
With so many pickleball paddles out there how do you decide which one you should purchase? I was given a starter set, as a gift, just to get me going. After I started playing 4-5 times a week I decided it was time to upgrade. I did a fair amount of research and this paddle checked all the boxes for a beginner to intermediate player without breaking the bank. I've been very happy with the weight, the way it handles, and the size of the sweet spot. My only complaint is that I bought the paddle about a month ago and now it's $30 less than what I paid for mine. At the current price point it's an absolute steal! Highly recommended!

Just Okay. No longer impressed.
Good grip and more of control and spin paddle. The power is not so much. This paddle is for folks who want more balanced spec across control, spin and power. After a month of use, I am finding this paddle is no longer suitable to my skills and strategy. As this is out of return window, I guess I am stuck with sort of dislikeness after all I paid 80 bucks ish. If you are between intermediate and Advanced, go for Perseus or similar ones otherwise you will soon find limitations that I stated. Its good beginner to intermediate player paddle. IMO its not worth the money unless you decide to keep it and use it longer. I am also finding this paddle bit heavy. Getting pains on the sides of the elbow when I attempt to lift the ball close from the ground.

Awesome
Love this paddle. Tons of pop, which I like. Good spin control.

Good value for what you pay!
After reading many reviews, we decided to proceed with the purchase of this Joola paddle. We think it's great for the price we paid. There are minimal 'dead spots' and the response for power and control is pretty awesome. I'd like to note that I have been playing pickle ball on and off for about 8 months and this paddle is a definite step up from the cheaper ones. I also purchased a similar Tenvina Paddle, due to the price, but this one is more responsive and significantly lighter. Additionally, we have a basis of comparison to a more expensive Selkirk (invicta i think) paddle and while that was more expensive, it is superior to this paddle. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. You get what you pay for with Pickleball Paddles and this one is worth the price....especially if it's on sale like it was for me. Enjoy and paddle on!

Improved game performance
Absolutely love this paddle. My game has noticeably improved my performance. The paddle surface has improved my spin on the serve. Many of my opponents have a hard time returning my serve due to the power and spin on the ball. I bought a second one to keep in reserve so when this one wears out I have a replacement. The price a fantastic for the return of quality.

Very disappointing
I am very disappointed with this Joola Hyperion paddle. I started playing pb about four years ago , am intermediate level, and play four to five times a week. I’ve been using a couple Gamma paddles and have been happy with them until one delaminated (probably from being left in my car too long in cold weather). I decided I’d upgrade and get this Joola Hyperion because of the hype around it. Turns out that was a mistake. The first time I used it, fresh out of the packaging, I thought I had inadvertently picked up my old delaminated paddle. The ball came off it with a clunk and barely made it to the net. I played with it for a while only to find it continued that hollow clunk and required a lot of muscle to get it over the net with any speed. I switched back to my other Gamma.I used it off and on for a few weeks thinking I might adjust to it, but nothing changed—still the hollow clunk, very little power, no notable sweet spot, and generally poor response. Finally I was playing a couple hours with my Gamma, which performed very well, then switched to the Hyperion for another try My first serve clunked off the paddle and to the side. My return shots could barely make it to the net unless I put a lot of muscle behind it. With that, I decided I’d had enough. I was planning to return it only to find I had missed the Amazon return window by four days. So now I am stuck with an expensive mistake that I probably will not use again. My advice: Caveat emptor, stay away from this product or be prepared to return it right away.
