I don't have a cat. so am not sure how this works for a litterbox. I do have a canister vacuum that smells musty no matter how many filters are changed and no matter how many times it is cleaned with deodorizing cleaner and/or bleach. It smells fine for a couple of days, then gets musty again. I add this product when changing the bag, and it keeps the mustiness away for a long time. I just open the top of the crystals container and suck some in after putting in a new bag. It doesn't need a lot and one container of crystals will last a long time, so don't waste money by letting a lot get sucked up. It really doesn't take much of the product to eliminate the musty smell. I like the smell of the lavender and vanilla, and I wish I could smell it more when using the vacuum. You really can't smell this product much, if at all, when vacuuming. It's a bit of a bummer because I like the fragrance, but it does stop the vacuum from smelling like a wet dog, so it's not masking the smell with another smell. It just works great to keep the mustiness away until it's time to change the bag again.

The kind of small where you open the shipping box, remove the packing material, locate the product, and continue searching the box because surely there is another one in there. There is not. From an accounting perspective, the container is approximately 40% deodorizing crystals and 60% me standing in the kitchen turning it over looking for an explanation. Now introduce multiple cats. With one cat, this may be a litter deodorizer. With five to seven cats, this is a sample. I have enough litter boxes that sprinkling this across all of them feels less like applying a product and more like a priest walking through a cathedral distributing holy water. A little here. A little there. May God protect this household. If I apply a reasonable amount to every litter box, my projected useful life for the container is approximately eleven minutes. This creates a serious depreciation problem. Under normal accounting principles, an asset should provide future economic benefit. This bottle provides future economic benefit until approximately Tuesday. I attempted to calculate cost per litter box, but midway through the calculation one of the cats pooped again and materially changed the forecast. We are now operating under revised guidance. I considered classifying this as a consumable supply. Incorrect. For a multi-cat household, this should be classified as a rapidly disappearing current asset. Inventory turnover is exceptional. Possibly too exceptional. The odor-control concept itself is sound. Arm & Hammer has put baking soda into little scented crystals whose entire corporate mission is apparently to stand between civilization and whatever occurred in Box Number Four at 2:17 a.m. I respect the mission. I question the staffing level. Because this little bottle has been assigned responsibility for an operation far beyond its available capacity. This is six cats. Six digestive systems. Six independent production facilities. No scheduled downtime. Demand is continuous. One cat can initiate a new odor event while I'm still closing out the previous odor event. There is no month-end. There is no quarter-end. The books never close. The books poop again. So while the crystals may perform adequately, management has significantly underestimated required headcount. I need this product in a 5-gallon bucket. Possibly a drum. Something delivered on a pallet with a bill of lading. I should not be able to hold my annual odor-control strategy comfortably in one hand. Final audit findings: Product size: suspiciously little. Multi-cat scalability: poor. Inventory turnover: catastrophic. Projected reorder frequency: irritating. Odor mitigation: appreciated. Container-to-cat ratio: financially irresponsible. At this point I am not purchasing cat deodorizer. I am funding an ongoing environmental remediation program. One star until Accounts Payable receives the industrial-size SKU for real so little product I need a Biggie Size option here

I will never purchase tihis product again! It doesn't keep the order out of the kitty litter box whatsoever. Smells nice for a couple of seconds but does not do its job. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

All it takes is just a little sprinkle depending with the amount of poos in litter if more than usual just sprinkle again & no more poo smells. I find it works straight away & easier to breathe by eliminating those smelly cat poos. Good price & last a while.

It has reduced the acidic odour when digging out clumping litter wee piles. Quite happy with this product
