I purchased this because it was on my 5th grade son’s teacher’s wish list for the classroom. I bought one for the class and one for my family. My children are 19, 10, and 5 years of age. We love the game of war with a basic deck of cards, but this is a genius way to teach fractions in a way I would have never thought because it is so much fun!! The cards are well made and feel water resistant. I did not test that theory. The price was not high at all, especially for the product and what our family is getting out of the game. If you don’t know how to play traditional war, it’s okay. The box includes easy to read directions. I highly recommend this to anyone, classrooms or homeschool for their kids! It’s typical for kids to assume the higher the denominator, the higher the fraction must be. This allows for actual teaching, kind competitiveness, and a lot of fun!

My fourth grade students absolutely love playing war with these cards! They are easy to use and the red line on the visual fraction tape to show the halfway helps them to compare.

I bought these cards for my 3rd grade classroom because they were not too expensive. They have nice graphics using fraction strips along with the fraction to help show comparison. So far, the kids have enjoyed playing the game.

My students argue over who's turn it is next. Keeps students occupied with fraction facts who normally do not want to spend the time.

My students love this game. You can also have them multiply the fractions on the cards instead of only comparing them.
