No problem setting it up. I can use the bas unit on or off the camera ( as long as it is plugged into the camera. I’m glad because I’ve lost the remote control. Battery seems to hold a charge. I’ve only charged it once since buying it (I’ve only used it sporadicly since purchasing it.

I use this on my Canon R5 Mark II. In the past, I’ve used Canon Connect for firing my camera remotely. The preparation was effective but time consuming. This remote shutter release works. In addition, the release works just like the shutter release on the camera. Holding it 1/2 way down allows me to check the focusing on the camera.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Used it to take photos with my partner in a couples trip. Did a great job. Sometimes the signal gets lost if you’re >10 feet away.

I wanted to use this for family photos, since I’m a photographer and don’t particularly like paying other people to take my photos.. this remote was easy to set up, and worked just has I wanted it to. Very worth the purchase!

Great for them shots that your camera has to sit completely still. Ill be using this for fireworks display when Ill want my shutter to stay open on the bulb mode for about 20 seconds. It will also be great for taking selfies with my camera. It has unlimited reasons for using a remote trigger. Its definately worth the money anytime the camera is on a tripod

Bought this in December and have only been able to use it a couple times. Idk why it will not connect to my x100vi. I’ve tried troubleshooting and it’s just a hassle more than it is an addition to my camera accessories collection. Very unhappy

I have not gotten to use this because I got it for my friend to use. It arrived on time as stated.
