Great product
These are a game-changer. I used them to run my trolling motor cables through my hull out onto my deck. And I used to run hydraulic steering cables out of the side of my hull to my motor. They look great and truly don't leak.

Works for Starlink gen 2, have to slightly trim connector at satellite end of cable
This is a great quality cable covering / gland. It will certainly make a watertight entry point if installed on a relatively flat surface. The included gasket is about .0625 inch thick. If you have surface irregularities greater than .0625 inch in depth, you might have water infiltration. (You may not if you screw it down tightly, depends on your specific situation). If using for as a entry port covering for a starlink gen 2 cable, this will work. The included donut gaskets fit the coax diameter cable without drilling. A very small amount of plastic on the starlink cable end connector nearest the satellite had to be slightly shaved down to fit through the stainless steel cover. This is easy to do with a razor blade, it's just a tiny amount that needs to be removed.

Great for the Starlink cable on my RV roof
I used this to seal the Starlink cable where it comes out of the RV roof. It worked great! The connector fits through the hole just fine. And the predrilled grommet was the perfect size for the cable. And the whole thing seals to the roof with no lap sealant or caulking.

Worked for me!
Price: The CableClam could definitely be cheaper considering you're paying. There's nothing really stopping anyone from using caulk or wood filler as an alternative. Design: It comes in an easy open package with everything tucked away. This device is pretty much made with mistakes in mind. Everything is pretty straight forward. Just drill a hole the size of your cable in the rubber piece then cut a slit in the rubber so that it fits around the cable. Issues: Doesn't really conform or compress the cable to fill in gaps as advertised. I had to use a bit of black caulk to fill the little gaps. It's also thicker than it needs to be. They could probably cut the depth in half so that it doesn't stand out as much since right now it's like attaching a hockey puck to a wall. Overall it's a good product that gives you a nice clean sealed wall grommet.

Saved Me and my Boat
I needed to install a transducer through my hull. I was supposed to drill a 1" hole. I grabbed the wrong bit and had a 1.5" hole through my hull instead. I knew I was in trouble as I had the 1" Blue Sea side entry clam shell and 2 of the 4 bolts were in the hole, which made me look at my hole saw size, ugh! This product saved my ass! Great product. Water proof seal. Make sure you properly measure the diameter of the cable and use a sharp drill bit and keep the area wet when drilling the rubber bladder piece as the instructions state. Large side of the bladder towards the hull. Also, put everything through the cable before you feed the cable through the hull. This seals up real nice once you tighten the cover up. The chrome cover is 100% sharp. All in all an awesome product!!

Very easy to install. Had to provide my own longer screws to mount the back plate to my house, 'cause there was styrofoam beneath the vinyl siding. Worked well on sealing the Starlink cable I put through it, that has since been removed & a 1/4 inch machine screw put in to fill the hole. Recommended!
