Needed metal tray to save egg whites when recipes only need yolks. Egg whites can’t be frozen in plastic, that breaks down components. Now I’m not throwing away 1 egg part or the other. Would have preferred singles or a pair but was pleased to find 6 slot tray amongst all the 12s. Removal tricky, certainly wouldn’t use it for anything else. Plastic trays or metal with release lever much easier to use for ice.

I didn't want the vintage steel ice trays they're a hassle this is exactly what I was looking for very hard to come by had them for a few months now I ordered 2 and so far so good. Idk why there are so many negative reviews it's exactly as pictured the ice cubes are a decent size not too big or small, it's easy to remove literally the simplest instructions to follow yet I read reviews people having a hard time trying get them out, just run it under hot water for a few seconds no more than 5-7 seconds and you hear them pop out. But I do wish the ring on the suction cup was higher quality it can bend out of shape very easily and cut you if you're not careful. All in all worth a buy.

I purchased the tray as my silicone trays get a nasty smell after awhile. The steel trays are a good idea but poorly executed. They are way too shallow. Once frozen one cannot twist the tray to release the cubes. One must run the tray under warm water which partially melts the cubes. Not ideal considering the cubes are small to begin with. I cannot recommend these.
