Not always zero mosquitoes like our backyard tubes hanging high on tree but on ground of front porch shrub bed- virtually mosquito free if you keep it watered as per instructions and it lasts three months unlike the 30 day tubes in tree. We enjoy early morning front porch sitting!

I have a small suburban back yard in New Mexico. This is a dry climate with very little rain and normally there are very few mosquitoes but this year because of a mild winter they have been awful. Following the instructions for this trap after setting it out for a month I haven't collected any dead mosquitoes in the trap nor have I noticed any decline in the mosquito infestation in my yard. I have done the obvious drained or emptied all sources of standing water. Even making sure rain gutters on the house were clear. Then I place a black jug, this trap, filled with water outdoors. Isn't it a breeder instead of a trap. What do I know. Waste of money did nothing as far as I can tell.

I had trouble getting it started (I didn't add enough water, my fault) but after filling it I found it works well and reduced mosquitoes, however it is essentially a plastic box with a poisonous tea bag in it, which doesn't seem worth almost $20. It does work, so I can't complain there!

I started to notice mosquitoes when I sat on the deck in the morning reading the newspaper. Within a week of purchasing and installing this product I have not seen another mosquito. It’s worked well for one and a half months so far.Update: towards the end of the three months I would occasionally see a mosquito. After three months and a few days, I checked for mosquitoes by emptying the contents onto a paper towel. There was one living larvae, so it had definitely reached the end if it’s useful life

Says it provides 1500 ft of protection, but in my experience it provides zero feet of protection. I have a vine covered eating area in my back yard which I can no longer use since mosquito's decided to move to the Southwest. Though it's placed in my eating area, I haven't noticed any reduction in mosquitos after a month. I'm keeping it out there though, just in case it might help, and maybe be used in conjunction with another product.

Doesn't work not worth the cost

Bought this product somehow thinking it would work. Shame on me. It’s dark colored, full of water. That’s a mosquito breeding ground. Ever since I set this up, there’s been MORE mosquitoes in our yard!I’m aware of the fact there’s ostensibly some pesticide in this thing, but based on the inordinate amount of mosquitoes flying around since I set it up, I think it’s more likely there’s a jacuzzi in there where they are breeding like there’s no tomorrow. Why/how could a product work to “destroy mosquito larvae” without any refill of the pesticide after rainfall/hot weather? Why/how did I expect our mosquito problem to get better by paying for an overpriced plastic container of standing water!SHAME ON YOU ‘INZECTO’!Save your money! Spray on some repellent instead!

Mosquitos love me! I don't like the smell of citrine, and I don't like the feel of body repellants so it is nice that this is odorless to me but does seem to reduce the number of bites I get when we sit outside. It is definitely catching some! It is supposed to last for quite a long time, so I can't yet tell how cost effective it will be in the long run. Its very easy to set up and use, and it comes with some helpful information.
