Worked right out of the bag.
I ordered this bed alarm for my 80 YO mother who just recently had stomach surgery and who is in the early stages of dementia. This bed alarm worked like a charm. My sister and me were on shifts at night worried about her getting up by herself and possibly falling. This alarm worked right out of the bag, was super easy to set up. We keep the sensor in the guest bedroom and we are alerted immediately when my mother gets up.There is a slight delay, so if you need something that alerts you right away, this may not be the best thing. It is working great for my mother and my family. A real life-saver and now we can actually sleep at night.

Limited Applications
The Bed Alarm works well, but does not in accordance to the instructions, however, it can be useful in many applications. The instructions:Plug alarm into the outlet, then apply pressure to the pad to activate system, the remote alarm will keep beeping whenever pressure is released from pad.How it actually works:Under the weight of the sheets the remote alarm sounds immediately when plugged in to the outlet. It should not sound until pressure is applied then removed, in accordance with the instructions. This would not be a problem for a patient confined to the bed, but not suitable, without an external power on-off switch, for an ambulatory patient who only needs the bed alarm at night.

Don’t waste your money
I use this product to alert me when my senior citizen will get out of bed at night. It stopped working and I’ve only had it for over a month I ended up getting another one and it goes off at random times

High-pitched alarm
The unit worked as advertised, but the alarm volume is not very high. Its pitch is outside the hearing range of the 84-year-old who needed to be able to hear it. A bell alarm would be more suitable for this sort of product. If we could have gotten a relay closure so we could add a bell, we might have kept it, but the unit doesn't have that, so all we could do was send it back.
