graphtech ghost - pick ups - st and tc 2 3/16in string spacing -6 pces Review: Sounds like an acoustic guitar - I play in a band where I was always switching back and forth between my tele and an acoustic guitar. We like to go from song to song without a gap, so every time I swapped guitars I could see the frustration on band mates. We tried grouping songs - but the problem was "sameness". The Graphtech saddle pickups sound very much like an acoustic guitar with a piezo pickup (close enough for a band setting) and it's great not having to switch instruments. I custom built a tele for this use. I went with an Eqsuire bridge pick up only with the Graphtech saddles. This way I was able to simplify the pup choices. What is interesting, when the piezo saddles are in "dark-mode", and blended with the bridge pick-up, it has a very unique sound and I really don't miss the neck pup at all. I placed the electronics and battery in the neck pickup cutout and routed a channel from the bridge pickup cutout to the back of the bridge plate (1/4" hole was drilled in the plate between the center screws to pass the wires) so the wires are completely hidden. The guitar looks just like a regular Esquire with the exception of the switch for pickup selection. Get the Graphtech volume/dark-mode pot. It simplifies the wiring and dark-mode is a great option. I would use these saddles again for sure. Do know that when you are installing them the wire is fragile at the saddle attach point. I recommend doing a loose fitment at first and only one installation. Once installed the system is very stable and the wires are secure. Also, start with the saddles high and lower them as you adjust intonation, this way you wont pinch the wires at the bridge plate.
