The very few issues that I found with working on cue sticks in this lathe would be its a bit "overkill". Also the bed is just 50mm short of being long enough to place a full size shaft in between centers. Lastly and most importantly, you will need to get the "soft jaws" for the three jaw chuck or it will shred any and all wood. All of that being said, I definitely recommend this as a one stop shop to building a cue, top to bottom.
