rugged, lightweight, nice ergo handle
I love this thing -- I use it in Puget Sound (salt water) and it still looks brand new after a year or so. Has been used to push on rocky bottoms as well as a normal paddle. would buy again for sure if it ever breaks, though I don't see it ever breaking under normal use. the handle looks a bit weird, I'm used to a "normal" wood paddle, but it works well ergo-wise, feels like the curved offset top handle give you some extra torque -- it probably doesn't, but it feels good either way.

Good paddle, good price
Strong and light paddle. I’ve used it for pushing off the lake bottom, and it hasn’t bent. Top handle grip is very comfortable for rowing. The first paddle shipped was bent, but the company replaced it quickly.

Great Paddle
This is the second Crooked Creek paddle I have bought. The first one was an all one construction which I like better but the company no longer makes them. I really like the way the top part of the paddle it made. It fits your hand perfect. The only thing that I though was going to be a problem was the lower part of the paddle is a little loose as it snaps onto the stalk of the paddle with push in snaps. I guess this is because you may be able to purchase the lower part incase it breaks for some reason. I have used it for a whole fishing season and havent had any issues with it though. I did purchase another one because it is the perfect legnth for my plastic pontoon boat.

Stout Utility Paddle
This paddle was purchased to serve as a utility paddle for a flat-bottom aluminum bass boat that is normally propelled by either a 40 hp outboard motor or an electric trolling motor. It serves that purpose well. We use it to push our way out of tight spots or over logs in the cypress bottoms where we often fish. In the event both motors failed, we might use it to propel the boat a short distance. It is heavier than the wood paddle that it replaced, but seems to be much more durable. The blade can be easily detached from the paddle if it ever needs to be replaced.

Great Design
Use this paddle to travel around one of our ranch lakes in our canoe. Works great, has a nice ergonomic feel to it. It replaced another one that was about 15 years old and had been in the canoe 24/7/365. The new one is much nicer and I expect should hold up very well. I like the 5.5 foot length.

Great, Sturdy Paddles
These are very sturdy paddles. I use them a lot to push off of rocks and the bank when launching. I love the handles too, they are very comfortable. I am 5'8" using an Old Town Saranac 146 which sits pretty low from the bottom of the boat and the length of these paddles are long enough.

Paddle On
Just put this paddle through its paces for the last 3 nights on the CT river. I like the hybrid grip, weight and especially the rubber hand grips. Having the heads removable is nice for storage but it does collect more water than a traditional solid paddle. Overall I loved it and can't wait to use it again.
