Perfect First Telescope for Beginners – Clear Views, Easy Setup, and Packed with Accessories!
As a complete beginner to astronomy, I was nervous about buying my first telescope, but this Koolpte model has exceeded all my expectations. The 80mm aperture and multi-coated optics deliver surprisingly clear, bright views of the moon, planets, and stars—way better than I thought possible at this price point. I’ve been able to see the moon’s craters in stunning detail, and even spot Jupiter’s moons and Saturn’s rings with the included eyepieces. Setting it up was a breeze, even for someone with zero experience. The AZ mount tripod is sturdy and easy to adjust, and the included phone adapter lets me take amazing photos of what I see, which has made sharing my stargazing adventures with friends so fun. The wireless remote control is a great addition too, letting me adjust the telescope without touching it and causing vibrations that blur the view. I love that it comes with everything I need to get started: two eyepieces, a Barlow lens, a finder scope, and a carrying bag. The bag is perfect for taking the telescope to dark sky areas, and the tripod is lightweight enough to carry easily. The build quality feels solid, with no flimsy parts, and the optics are clear with no distortion. This telescope has sparked a real love of astronomy in me, and it’s been so fun to learn and explore the night sky. If you’re a beginner looking for a high-quality, easy-to-use telescope, this is the perfect choice. 10/10, would buy again, and highly recommend to anyone starting their stargazing journey!

A good telescope for a beginner astronomer.
This telescope is great for beginners and the exterior is a work of art. The setup instructions can be a bit confusing, especially when you're putting in the Zenith mirror and then the 25mm eyepiece. I actually had to watch a YouTube video from someone who bought it to figure out what to do. You can pick whichever eyepiece you like, though. The picture isn't as clear as I'd want, and the screws are a little flimsy to keep the eyepiece in place, however, but overall, it's a pretty great telescope.

Best Portable Telescope
It's been a while since I have this with me and I feel it is time to make a review about this product. Anyway, I gave 5 stars for this for the following: The assembly instructions are spot on, very easy so as the use of it. The size is excellent, it does not take a lot of space and storing it is not a big issue. The structure is very stable and field of view is excellent. I've used it in star gazing when the night sky is very clear and I've been taking it to the beach and some parks for bird watching. This is a portable telescope that does not bankrupt your wallet- very good for beginners in the star gazing department.

Way Overrated
If you only want to look at the moon or some distant mountain, I guess this telescope rates 4 stars, but I don't know how it rates over 3 stars for star gazing. Here is why. The finder scope is nearly useless. The finder scope has a nice magnifying lens and cross hairs, but it attaches to the telescope with a non-adjustable plastic mount that that is not well aligned with the telescope. The mount uses a proprietary fixture to connect to the telescope, so it's impossible to replace. The misalignment is almost embarrassing. A cheap rifle with zero scope has better aim this fancy scope. It would cost them less than $2 to make the mount adjustable, so they more than deserve to lose a star in their rating. I would forgive them and give them back the star if they sold an upgraded adjustable mount, but they don't. The Barlow lens is lightweight plastic junk. The moment I picked it up, I thought it was a joke and went looking in the bag for the real Barlow lens. The whole thing, and even the lens is lightweight plastic and the lens is low quality. I tried using it to look at Jupiter and created chromatic color splits that rendered the telescope useless. For an extra $10-$15, they could have included a decent Barlow lens. The Barlow lens is an insult to the buyer's intelligence and so again, I removed a star from the rating. As for the rest of the telescope, it still merits 3 stars. The main lenses seem adequate, the images are sharp, and the focus mechanism works correctly. I'm not sure if the eyepiece lenses are glass or plastic, but they are optically clearer and much more glass-like than the Barlow lens. Yes, the tripod is lightweight, but for the sake of low-price and portability, it is certainly more than adequate. If the telescope sold for $80 and without any pretentions of being a better telescope, I'd give them 4 stars.

Great Beginner Telescope for Family Stargazing
I bought this telescope mainly to use with my kids on clear nights, and honestly it exceeded my expectations for the price. Setup was pretty straightforward and only took about 15 minutes. The tripod feels stable enough for backyard use, and the carrying bag makes it easy to store away when not using it. We were able to see the moon very clearly on the first night, including some crater details, which was really exciting. The phone adapter was also a nice bonus — took a few tries to line it up correctly, but once adjusted, we got some surprisingly decent moon photos with an iPhone. It’s lightweight, beginner-friendly, and doesn’t feel overly complicated like some other telescopes. Definitely a fun purchase for anyone getting into astronomy or just wanting something relaxing to do at night with family. Highly recommend for beginners!

Disappointed
Disappointed with the quality. The tripod is hard to adjust and not able to support the telescope properly. Many parts are made of cheap plastic, and the buckles are terribly stiff and hard to latch. Overall, the craftsmanship falls far short of my expectations.

Does not live up to expectations
I have to say that this telescope has been a big disappointment. The stand is incredibly shaky and not nearly stable enough to use the telescope accurately. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but the magnification is really poor and falls way short of the promotional pictures. I live in the Blue Mountains of Australia with really clear pollution free sky, and I can't get a really clear picture of anything other than a reasonable view of the moon. If I had my time over I would choose something else.
