AWFUL!
Where do I begin...$100 price tag? DEFINITELY not worth it! Second, I'm a bit suspicious of these reviews saying how much these worthless lectures raised their MCAT scores by 2 or 3 points...those are probably sneaky advertisers trying to promote this product because there is simply NO WAY these lectures could accomplish that...why? Here's a brief list: (1) the material they cover is nowhere near comprehensive of what's actually on the MCAT; (2) the stuff they do cover is frustratingly incomplete and barely scratches the surface of a topic, for example, the opening lecture on physics begins, appropriately, with vector additions, but all it says is to add "head to tail"--there's no discussion of the actual method you'll use on the MCAT (i.e., defining the X and Y components and adding them, how to reverse vectors in the right direction given a negative value, etc.)--the whole series is like listening to a 7th grade 'general science' lecture with NO specificity of topic; (3) what they do try to cover in depth is STILL incomplete, for example with physics again, they describe projectile motion and go through this long-winded calculation example of solving for the time to max height of a kicked football, and that's all they discuss, max height, no discussion of how you'd find the range, velocity at impact, angle at impact, etc., all the while needlessly reading out to 2 and 3 decimal places instead of using simple numbers to convey concepts. Another example is in organic nomenclature, they give a simple example of how to name a single alkane with one halogen substituent...NOTHING about terminal (priority) functional groups such as carboxylic acids, and how to know what takes precedence in naming compounds; (4) they constantly bring up complicated topics with no previous mention of them and then completely gloss over the discussion, for example, in the lecture on molecular isomers, it's describing variations in arrangements and says: "...an example of this are CIS and TRANS isomers." That's it, the only mention of cis/trans in the whole series, but not actually saying WHAT those terms mean...similarly, in the lecture on alcohol reactions (i.e., hydroxyl compounds rxns) after discussing a couple of general properties of alcohols and how the hydroxyl can lose its hydrogen in a couple of different ways it suddenly says: "...so when do you use Sn1 and Sn2? when..." this is the first and ONLY time those two reaction pathways are mentioned--no explanation of what they are, how they work, or what they even mean...think back to your organic text book...alcohol reactions are probably towards the middle to end of that book--is that where you'd expect to see the first and ONLY mention of Sn1 or Sn2? (5) they waste time overly-explaining simple concepts, and completely skip things that actually matter; (6) There's so much 'wasted' talk that means NOTHING...for example, the opening statement of the bio section is "cells are the basic unit of life and you're required to know something about them" WELL YEAH! THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT THIS GARBAGE! All through it, "remember that...", "you need to know...", "you should know something about...", they advertise this as 4+ hours, I'd bet a solid 20 minutes is just wasted talk like that; (7) It really feels like he's reading from an un-edited script with lots of grammatical and inflection problems...this is a verbatim quote from the hormones lecture: "the AP suddenly secretes a large amount of LH, this is called the surge. The sudden increase in LH secretion by the AP is called the luteal surge. Don't forget, at the end of the follicular phase the AP suddenly secretes a lot of LH, that's called the luteal surge." Read those three sentences out loud to yourself, each one with a different passive inflection that makes them sound like completely unrelated strings...now ask yourself if you'd pay $100 to sit through 4 hours of that? There's LOTS of other problems with this mess, but I've rambled on enough...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

AudioLearn Provides Very Little Content
I had the Exam Krackers Audio Osmosis, but I couldn't stand to listen to it for long periods of time, because of the incessant sound effects, laugh tracks, and jokes. It was very irritating especially when you're listening through headphones. I brought the MCAT AudioLearn, because the reviews mentioned that the CD didn't have all the annoying "noise" in the background that Audio Osmosis had to keep listeners entertained. Before I brought the CDs I noticed that the MCAT AudioLearn had only 4 hours of content whereas Audio Osmosis had over 13 hours. That right there should have told me that the AudioLearn wouldn't go into detail on the material. Well I received the CDs and listened to all of them, and just as I feared the information was very basic, general knowledge that you should have received in the first few weeks of BIO, PHYS CHEM and ORGO. I was disappointed. Even though Audio Osmosis makes me feel like my ears are going to bleed, I have to say they did a better job then MCAT Audiolearn at covering the material, and helping users remember it . If you have Audio Osmosis already and are thinking about buying these CDS don't waste your money. If this is your first time buying audio materiel for the MCAT go with Audio Osmosis instead.

better reading it off a book
It is monotonic. Also the topics are too superficial and basic, better reading it off a book. There is not much substance either, it lacks depth and critical thinking. But so dry and one person talking for hours. There is no change in rhythm or passion speaking. I wish they had multiple people talking, variation of talking and more of a personal style of teaching. It's just someone reading off something and talking at you with simple information. That does not soak at all nor is it interesting material. Let me repeat the information is really simple and basic. Will not really learn that much from it. Also the order of topics are all over the place and not organized at all.

easy, maybe too easy
It was very convenient to hear a review of all the basic undergraudate science in a concise format. I remembered a lot!I was disappointed that it was so shallow. Surely the MCAT can't be THAT easy? Did not appreciate the short-cuts, like asking me to memorize equations that could easily have been explained in a way to understand the underlying science.

The narrator is sort of boring, I found myself sleeping while listening
The narrator is sort of boring, I found myself sleeping while listening. Also, the information is too general. And it really didn't help me on the MCAT.

Really boring to listen to
Really boring to listen to. I wish this came with the text on a CD or the actual text published in a book. I will see if I can force myself to listen to it.
