I bought this as a first computer for my nephew, and he loves it. There is enough power in the CPU and GPU for entry level gaming while looking exactly the way a gaming enthusiast desires. The built in Wifi is fast, and while I have not tried it, the built in Xbox controller interface was unique and seems very useful. It makes little sense to put an i3 in a machine for serious gamers but, for the casual gamer, who doesn't intend to tax their system much this could be a good gaming PC.This is a good mediacenter if you want to game on your home theater set up. While it isn't high powered, it is small and efficient. The carrying handle makes it very easy to transport and it has a compact profile so it can work well at a LAN party.Set up was very easy since it was purely plug and play. The Ideacenter comes with a mouse and keyboard. You do need an HDMI cable,which I already had, and so was able to set it up very quickly. Connecting via wifi was a snap and it was really nice having the wi fi built in. Then the updates began! Windows 10 took over an hour to install all the updates which was a tad frustrating but to be expected. Once that was done the browser loaded quickly and installing games from Steam was not a problem at all.If you happen to use games on dvds, you will need an external disc drive. For other purposes, the ideacenter has connectors for PSII, 4 USB 3.0 connectors, 2 USB 2.0 connectors and a Xbox pairing button on the front of the tower.Honestly, with an i5 CPU (or an i7) this would have been a seriously awesome gaming pc. As it is though, the i3 does bottleneck the performance.
