Works great first time

Had blister Beatles eating my tomato plants and this stuff killed them on contact, seen a lot of reviews talking about this product not working on ticks, I think they are confusing this with permethrin.

I have an aloe plant that unfortunately came up with an infestation of "fungus gnats." Not a pleasant thing to have in your office to say the least. Suggested on the label is 3 to 5 tablespoons of concentrate per gallon. I went "middle of the road" at 4. I purchased a spray bottle from Home Depot, and filled it with the mix. I then sprayed a pretty good coat over the plant and directly on the soil (to kill larvae / eggs as well as adults). 2 days later, and the infestation is gone! I also wanted to explore the general bug-killing capabilities, and sprayed it on some other random bugs I don't like, and they don't make it very far. If you read the list of pests it kills - it will kill about anything. Camping - believe it or not this stuff is non-toxic to humans (within reason, don't drink a gallon). It is actually completely safe to mix up a batch and spray on clothes you'll be taking camping, or to also spray directly on your legs/arms. If you don't believe me, google "pyrethrin toxicity." You'll find info from the US government and from plenty of colleges, all telling you this is safe to do (and likely safer than DEET based products like "OFF"). When I used this for camping trips - we would treat our clothes ahead of time, and also use it in place of "OFF" spray or other brands that use DEET. Pyrethrin works better if you ask me. However, doesn't really smell any better than DEET based brands. Other notes: This product breaks down fairly quickly when exposed to the general environment (especially light). So, if you use this as a bug-killer, you'll probably have to reapply every week, maybe a bit more frequently depending on the pest. Words of warning: This is pretty toxic to cats and dogs, more-so to cats. It is worse for cats as they are not only smaller, but metabolize it more slowly. I have 2 cats, so I just have to be very careful when I use it, and wash very well my hands or anything else I got it on if I am to touch them. If you have pets - read the warning labels and do some research to make sure you don't harm your pets!

Bees are gone

This has been a difficult year for ticks in my yard. Since I have not been successful in keeping the whitetail deer (tick carriers) out of my yard I had to resort to this insecticide. So far it appears to be doing the job.

I sprayed my tick infested garden area going to kill the ticks as organically as possible. Unfortunately, the ticks did not die. When I used permethrin, I stopped noticing ticks. I used over half the bottle on about a quarter acre. Maybe it just wasn't concentrated enough. Scent wasn't overwhelming. I wore a mask and was fine.
