This sifter has a double agitator, so it sifts much faster than the cheap hand crank sifters sold at the grocery store. It's stainless steel but I have only hand washed it and towel dried. Things that are marketed as stainless steel often have other metal components that are not stainless. For that reason I hand wash it.

We bought this for my "country living" niece as a gift. She loves it and says it works well.

Nothing wrong with it; just not thrilled completely with the inside of the base of the sifter. I bought it to have a large sifter. A small remnant remains at the bottom of the base. (it does not all come out easily) but it works pretty well.

Big improvement over my last sifter.

Bought this to replace my wife's cheap Walmart sifter, thinking it looks better, it might be better. Very wrong, the tines do not even rub against the mesh to sift. Really disappointed. The Walmart one works better and is less expensive

I only give three stars as this is not as advertised. It is definitely not 5cups. 4 cups comes to approx.a 1/2 inch from the top.
