Good budget upgrade
This stereo was installed in a 2006 Silverado as an upgrade to the factory head unit. It installed easily with an install kit and a harness adapter that were purchased separately. It is great to have modern features such as maps and Spotify in an old truck. The phone connects to it perfectly every time I get in. It was easy to set up, and I have had no issues with Android Auto on it. The sound quality is comparable to other units in this price range; not the best, but it does the job just fine for the average user. The downsides: The screen is not as crisp as I would have hoped or expected. It could be because I am used to newer vehicles with high-end displays, but this one seems to fall short in terms of clarity and definition. Not a huge drawback, but something to be aware of. The interface is generally pretty snappy, though sometimes there is lag when switching between songs. Overall, I would definitely recommend this unit for someone looking to modernize an older vehicle.

Nice unrestricted Android Auto head deck to replace your aging OEM system.
For anyone who wants to modernize an older vehicle or build a custom setup, this Android-based head unit offers an impressive balance of features, size, and performance. Its slim double-DIN chassis gives you far more room to work with than most replacements, and the side panels include multiple mounting points to help line up brackets no matter what dash layout you’re dealing with. The 7-inch IPS display is vivid and crisp, and the capacitive touchscreen reacts quickly without the delay common in low-cost units. Wireless CarPlay worked flawlessly during testing, and while Android Auto wasn’t something I tried firsthand, it’s fully supported. Between the included radio tuner, DSP audio controls, backup camera compatibility, and customizable interface, the feature set feels comprehensive rather than cut-down. Though meant for in-dash installation, it handles standalone usage without complaint, which is ideal for projects like my 3D-printed portable enclosure powered by a Ryobi 18V battery. The overall performance is where this unit stands out. Bluetooth pairing happens immediately and remains stable, and the software responds quickly when navigating menus or switching apps. The display quality feels more upscale than its price suggests, and the system remains smooth even when used outside the typical automotive environment. Power it on, and it’s ready to go with no fuss. As a portable media device, it behaves more like a compact entertainment hub than a car stereo, which makes it especially fun for parties and outdoor setups. Key Features: Full Android OS with the ability to install apps and use your phone’s hotspot for connectivity. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, plus screen mirroring. Bluetooth 5.0 for reliable calling and audio playback. Built-in GPS and dual-band WiFi for maps and online applications. AM/FM radio with RDS capability. Slim double-DIN design with multiple mounting hole positions for easier installation. USB ports, RCA inputs/outputs, support for front and rear cameras, and complete wiring harnesses included. Onboard DSP processing, 50×4 internal amplifier, and multi-band EQ for improved audio tuning. Full compatibility with Android apps, making it suitable for streaming, navigation, or standalone multimedia use. Includes a remote control for added convenience. For anyone seeking a flexible and well-equipped upgrade, this unit brings modern features to older vehicles and adapts easily to creative, nontraditional uses.

Decent head unit - quality commensurate with price
I got this double din screren to use carplay on a beater car I have. The long and short of it is that it's about what I'd expect at this price point - I've installed a lot of Wireless CarPlay units from half this price to twice this price, and this one performs well at the price point. The screen is limited to the dimensions of the double DIN specification - there are more expensive vehicle specific alternatives that present a large screen - taking into account the dashboard controls of the target vehicle. This one fits all equally well and is constrained by the specs. The picture quality is okay - the colors are bright and can be seen in bright conditions easily. The touch control is responsive to the pokes to summon apps and buttons, but the resolution seems relatively low. This is fine in a car. I really like the physical controls on the left so that when I'm driving, I can use tactile feedback to skip a track or to change volume - I don't have to take my eyes off the road to locate an image of a button. I like the dial volume control being physical! It took a while to get the backup camera to work with the limited instructions - the secret is to power the camera from the reverse light and then also put power to the pink wire of the head unit. This always illuminates the lights around the camera - like an extra reversing light I guess. The most important screen in the settings is shown in the photo below - it allows you to stop the strobing backlight colors of the controls and pick one - I normally chose red as it impacts my night vision least. The sound quality is adequate for my needs - I only have two speakers in my beater car, so that probably tells you something about the discernment of my taste! Why is there a remote control? Who needs this? Who drives along with a remote in their hand and uses that to do anything with the head unit? Who? I didn't test this as I think it's pointless. To recap: it's work the money, the CarPlay works well and the screen and sound are fine.

Nice large double din display
This Double Din android car radio made it easy to upgrade my old steeo in my 2006 Xterra. Nice large double din screen with responsive touch control. Made my old Xterra as good as the modern cars by adding touch screen, bluetooth, reverse cam, and microphone, with easy hook up to your android or apple phoner. Has an extra subwoofer output for the bass fans, nice standard wiring harness and RCA and low level inputs. Nice sounding head unit with plenty of features provides a powerful signal to your amp or direct to your speakers. Easy to install, clearly labeled wires. Makes it nice and easy to add a reverse cam to a vehicle that didn't come with one.
