I really like this
The media could not be loaded. This is a good looking bike light that’s powerful enough for any riding condition you’ll face. With 4 light modes and a clear casing, you are bound to be seen from the side too, as shown in my pic.The only thing that lets it down in my opinion is the micro usb slot. It’s outdated. Upgrade to USBC please, it can’t be that much more money. For the current price of £12 it presents good value for money and I would recommend it.

Not bad but could be a bit better even at this price range
I cycle quite a lot for commuting and for leisure, and I have owned and reviewed countless bike lights from major manufacturers such as Garmin and Catseye to lesser-known brands such as Hornit. This is the second Hornit light I have reviewed, and this isn't too bad especially when you consider the low price of £11.99 (which is the asking price at the time of review in April 2023).This Hornit TRACE light is similar to many rear lights in this price bracket in size and design, but given we are in 2023, it is a shame that this comes with Micro-USB charging and not USB-C. Secondly, the water resistance rating of just IP44 will just about do for most bike users, but it would have been great to see it nearer to IP7 or similar. For fun, I did put the light on in my bathroom shower for about 10 minutes, and it coped. However, those two issues aside, this TRACE is light in weight, easy to mount, and has a nice number of settings to help you be seen by other road users. The maximum lumens is only used in daytime, which is "Daytime flash", and the other settings are either 5 lumens or 2 lumens, which is fairly standard for this price bracket of rear lights. When it arrived, it had no charge, so I connected it to a fast charger. I didn't take note of when it actually got fully charged, but it was definitely within 2 hours (possibly quicker). I did turn it on, and put it on the daytime flash setting overnight, and it was still flashing about 8 hours later when I woke up, which was impressive.Given the price, this is not a bad little light, and it would have been five stars for this review, had it not been for those two issues I mentioned earlier. However, 4-star reviews are ones that I can still recommend to you.

Simple and useful
A very nice small light which is extremely easy to install. Has different flashing options and utilises a rubber clip to connect to the bike frame. The build quality also seems nice.

Old school charging…stiff light change
A nice looking light let down by poor design.- old school usb b charging (the wide and small charging)- stiff change of light option from flashing slow to quick etcNice connection but not being sub c and being so stiff to change light options is very old school.

Adaptable to daylight changes
Twilight cycling down London's bustling streets used to have an element of stress. But not anymore. Despite the rain, the mist, the unpredictably of it all, this little light endures. The choice between four light modes allows me to adapt to changing daylight, or the lack thereof. It's so lightweight that even my daughter’s bike sports one, happily blinking away on our weekend rides. The ability to recharge offers relief from the constant search for replacement batteries. The hours of illumination it provides is a testament to its robustness. It has become an integral part of our cycling routine.
