Fantastic, great blade and comfortable handle. Very sharp.
Brilliant knife. So sharp. Great handle. I got this as an upgrade to my 5 inch cleaver (it's 7 inch) primarily to thinly slice home made charcuterie. It is AMAZING for this but it is rapidly becoming my go to kitchen knife. It has a stainless steel blade where some are high carbon, but I think stainless is better and easier to care for, for kitchen work, in my opinion and I make knives using high carbon steels. Great price too. I'm really interested to learn how to use a clever of this size as I've seen in many Asian cooking programs. Can't recommend highly enough and if long term use changes my opinion, I'll update this review.

Stays sharp, heavy duty and dishwasher safe
Great quality. Does not need constant sharpening. Goes through the dishwasher so easy to clean. Handle is sturdy with great grip. Its heavy so the blade does all the work. I use it for most things now, its my go-to knife.

Good Qualtiy All Purpose Cleaver
Good quality multi purpose kitchen cleaver. Can be sharpened on a wet stone if you need a better edge. Not as light and nimble as a Chinese Kitchen Knife but nowhere near as heavy as a Butchers Cleaver. I find it works well in my kitchen as an all purpose knife. I use it mostly for preparing vegetables and fruit.

Great for left handers! Right handers beware an asymmetric bevel.
This is a solid cleaver that could probably take some punishment, but not so heavy as to be cumbersome. The edge profile is slightly rounded which makes it forgiving to use.The stainless steel seems like good quality with a satisfying ring when flicked. The tang appears to extend well into the handle (judging by the balance). The other edges such as the spine are quite sharp, which is to be expected given the price, but could easily be sanded smooth if necessary. The only drawback is the shape of the blade. Looking along the front of the blade from the spine towards the cutting edge reveals the blade's taper. It is completely flat on the right side, until the double-bevelled cutting edge. The left side however is parallel for the top 2/3rds of the knife, then has a round primary bevel that tapers towards the cutting edge. This means that the knife will cut straight down for a left-handed person, but for right handed people Iike myself, the blade has a tendency to track rightward as the cut follows the shape of the primary bevel. Not an issue with flat things like herbs, but becomes an issue for denser and more 3D foods like onion. I am not a professional chef however so I am not sure how it would handle with superior knife skills.Overall amazing for the price, but for the day to day I have returned to using my weird second-hand santoku.

Not a professional, just wanted to chop meat!
Not a professional cook, I have general knife sets from superstores etc usually I buy the "expensive" option but I know everything there is cheap. And I have a couple of extra "good" single knives I've bought over the years for 10-20 quid, I use for prepping when I want to feel like Gordon Ramsay.Which brings me to this, I have a BBQ and a new dog I've found myself dealing with big lumps/racks of meat/bone and using my typical knives were just hard work and fiddly. So, I bought a cleaver! Initial impressions are great I've rather enjoyably break apart rib racks and even had enough finnese to dice an onion. The blade is very rigid, no flex at all and has a reassuring weight to it which certainly helps cleave lumps of meat into portions, and I'm sure can be used to crush things if needs be.The plastic handle feels solid and secure.the edge of the blade is also slightly beveled so you can rock it & chop things, within reason.Cutting edge wasn't as razor sharp as certain more let's say surgical/technical knives I own but for chopping meat etc it's a breeze.Very happy, would totally recommend to anyone of similar experience.
