I used the microwave a month to make sure it wouldn't fall apart...based on some of the reviews here, I'm lucky the rotating plate didn't break, the handle didn't fall off, or the oven didn't burn down the kitchen. Instead, it survived, though it's only been a month, so who knows. Bottom line, this microwave is not only the best-looking microwave I've ever had, it's the easiest I've ever used. Hit the big round button and it turns on for one minute, then rotate the button to quickly scale your time up or down. There are a bunch of other features that are also easy to understand for anyone with a fifth grade education, but I've cooked meals and reheated items more than once a day for a month and I'm delighted with the overall performance. Yes, the interior light only comes on when the oven is running, not when you open the door. Are the other reviewers blind or something? That just isn't a big deal. Yes, it beeps three times when the cooking session ends. I don't live in a monastery under a vow of silence, so that's okay. The beeping is no louder than any other microwave I've owned. Yes, the power plug forces the microwave to sit about 2½ inches from the wall (see pics)...and the owners manual recommends it sit 3 inches from the wall for venting purposes. I'm okay with that. None of the hundreds of other reviews showed photos of the black version of the microwave, so I'm showing it in several pictures here. It is a handsome devil, even in black, and it harmonizes beautifully with my granite countertop. The interior is plenty big enough for a standard dinner plate (see pics), and therefore big enough for any frozen dinner. The 800 watts of power is slightly less than my usual 900 or 1,100 watts, but it cooks well and cooks evenly. I just follow the directions on a frozen dinner (which are written for 1,100 watt microwaves), maybe adding 10 or 20 seconds to the timing, and it comes out piping hot. Anyone who says it doesn't heat has a bad microwave and should return the oven within a week of purchasing...not sit around complaining about it. So I love my microwave. If it breaks in six months or six years, I'll just buy another one (hopefully when they are on sale, like I did this time). For intuitive microwavers like myself, it is unbelievably easy to use. And it's the most attractive retro-style microwave on the market, whatever color you choose, and it's really not a very close competition with any other design. I could not be happier.

I love this thing. My boyfriend and I just got out first place together and we were in need of a microwave. This one has been perfect so far! I've had it for...about a month, now. No issues! It's not very noisy, it fits perfectly on the corner of our kitchen counter (which is quite limited on space to begin with), and the child lock is quite a helpful tool for any kids who might try some funny business. I adore the retro look on it; it and it heats everything up just right, plus I haven't had any food explode in it. I hope it stays that way!

I was pleasantly surprised by this model. It replaced a similar unit from Best Buy's Inisgnia line that worked well for four years and then disappeared in a sudden storm of lightning, thunder, and smoke. Both models were 0.7 cubic foot and 700 watts. We use them for nondemanding tasks like warming up coffee and preparing microwaveable frozen foods, and both were fine for this purpose, but the Nostalgia seems a little stronger: I heat my daily coffee the same way very day, and it's a little hotter with the new machine. Pros: The Nostalgia is cute, the controls are fairly intuitive, it warms things up the way that it should. Small cons: You can only set the power at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. I'd like a little more flexibility. It does not seem to have a timer -- the Insignia did, but you couldn't use it while you were running the microwave, so if I wanted to time something in the regular oven then I couldn't use the microwave. (I do have an iPhone, so not the end of the world.) The $109.99 price was fair, though the Insignia four years ago was $40 cheaper.

I love this microwave because it’s my absolute favorite color. I like the fact that it’s retro and I was born back in the 60s the only thing I do not like about this product number one and has no light so you can’t see your food. The second reason I do not like it is because it has a child lock on it and I am not a child nor do I have any children around my microwave I would like the option to make it For adults only but I do love my product it’s just right for seniors.

Works like a microwave not really sure what else I could say about it. Heats food really well, it’s small but I knew that and wanted that for my small apartment. It’s pretty quiet I guess and I’ve had it for about 6 months and it’s still going strong. Honestly best thing about it is that it is definitely the cutest microwave on the market! It definitely takes some getting used to, in terms of how to use it. Took me a while to realize you could just press the knob and then spin it to choose cook time instead of doing a random setting. Definitely worth it if you want a cute retro microwave and you don’t wanna take up a lot of room.

Pros: We’ve had this microwave for over 6 months now and overall I’m happy with it. I love the look of it and have received several compliments. The price was great, and the size fits perfectly in our cabinet space, which I really appreciate. It’s also very easy to use and the controls are straightforward. Cons: It is a bit noisy when running, and I don’t feel like it’s the highest quality when it comes to performance. I do wish their were other color options like a brown, or tan microwave or other fun colors. Sometimes it cooks things a little unevenly. That said, for the price, I think it’s still a solid option and does the job.

I don't know where to start!! This is the most stunning microwave I have ever bought. I honestly couldn't believe how beautiful it was when I opened it, proper retro and its so shiny and the colour is stunning. It works really well and has cooked food better than other microwaves I have used. If you want a beautiful red microwave then this is the one for you.

This microwave should not be sold in the UK. It arrived with an American style plug fitted. Not safe to use adapter or converter, as stated in info book, which came with the microwave. I contacted seller and two electricians. Seller sent me an adapter separately. Only meant for sale in Canada and USA. It could result in injury and damage. I had to return this microwave, as it was not safe to use. A hassle getting lable printed. Then courier turned up with a label ! Very stressful. No information when ordering that it had an American style plug fitted. Very disappointed, as I loved the colour and style.
