Coffee from the Brikka coffee maker is a masterpiece of flavour
Coffee from the Brikka coffee maker is a masterpiece of flavour; I’ve never had such good coffee anywhere else, and I’ve been to many well-known cafés, such as Costa and others. The coffee comes out creamy and delicious. I’m amazed that such a device, costing just a few pennies, can make such perfect coffee. This device is worth every penny. I recommend it 1000%

Attractive and Effective
We have an AGA but with this pool;onged heat and the high energy prices we had to turn it off for the summer. We love having our Espressos after our evening meal but our existing Bialettis ( we have 3 !) are the traditional type and don't work on an induction hob. So we bought this one. My tips are: Don't worry about the "open top", it is meant to be like that; DO use the small measuring pot for the water - if you put too much in the flavour is not as good, and it can overflow; I have found the on the induction plate 400 W is about right. (You can give a little time at 500W and once it is bubbling through you can reduce from 400W to 300W). Watch it, and be careful. The Flavour is fabulous - arguably better than the traditional Bialetti done on the stove top of the AGA).

Not convinced
I sent mine back without testing. Unfortunately it was so heavy it made my wrist hurt. The base is so wide unscrewing it is not easy (even though I have huge hands). I did not feel the top and base fitted each other as well as the aluminium version )made in Italy). I felt the handle looked too flimsy to hold such a big pot. The lid did not sit properly on the pot and some of the aluminium seemed to be scraped away. In all it went straight back. It’s a pity as the overall look is nice. And it might work well. Maybe this is better bought in person unless you have money to take a punt. --- Ended back with pot due to postal error. I kept on trying. it takes a lot of coffee to get there - but eventually it works. I did research to get it right- right from the start - so it is likely the pot just takes time to 'settle in'. Then it's possible to get a lovely froth. Hange in there. Also change did not feel strong but has held up fine.

Rolls Royce of moka pots.
The Rolls Royce of moka pots. Oozes quality and works like it does too. Have tried many moka pots but this is head and shoulders above anything else for making great coffee.

For this price, you’re probably better off looking at other options
On the positive side, the device looks nice, and it makes a very acceptable stovetop espresso on an induction hob in a few minutes, but make sure that you keep it at a little lower than full power to avoid a burnt, bitter brew, and remove from heat once coffee starts to bubble up - keeping on the heat as you might be used to with a conventional stovetop machine will result in a boil over. Massive loss of stars for the build quality, though. The metal body of the device seems pretty robust, but the plastic fittings are cheap and low quality, especially compared to my traditional 20 year old Bialetti. The machine requires quite a lot of force to unscrew the upper part from the base, and the flimsy plastic thumb lever on the lid of the upper is badly attached, made from cheap, lightweight plastic, and has already loosened and detached after a week’s use despite attempts to keep my hands clear of it when unscrewing. I suspect that if I’m not very careful then the same will happen more catastrophically to the handle.

Does the job
First time brew, got really excited when the coffee started coming out. Was a bit worried because somehow the bottom pot where you store water won't lock with the top completely. But then, it's ok. Just remember to switch off the stove the moment you see coffee pouring in, before the sputtering sound ofcourse. Good upgrade from drip coffee maker.

Totally faulty and totally disappointing.
Yesterday I used for the first time: first, very slow; then, when the coffee was going up, it was noisy and too fast spilled over my kitchen. Today I put less water (like half), and same 💩. Although they told me the refund was done, I haven’t got it yet.
