Essential Tools for Health and Wellness
Too often, we get wrapped up in life's craziness -- taking care of children, parents, and pets, working crazy hours, trying to maintain and establish meaningful relationships, and caring for all the little things that can go awry every day. We forget that to take care of others and all those other things, we need to take care of ourselves too -- to exercise, sleep, eat well, take care of our souls and/or emotional health, and maybe just have a little bit of fun. But, we let the other things get in the way, and say -- oh well, I'll try to make time for myself tomorrow, or maybe next year. Through 20 chapters, each written by a different wellness coach/professional, Subtle Shifts offers a variety of tools to enable those who suffer or simply seek to find a better, happier, more productive way of living to reach their goals. Each chapter begins with the author's story -- the issues, problems, goals, etc. they confronted or sought to achieve through their life's journeys. These stories not only make each author more relatable but also provide important insight and perspective as they explain the tools they use/used to overcome/achieve/address the struggles they confront(ed), and helping the reader to see how the tools they suggest can be used (or adapted) to address the reader's own issues/problems/concerns/goals, etc. The tools range from manifestation, breathwork, making and maintaining connections, earthing (which I definitely want to try), shadow work, living life on offense and winning every week (a tool I have used with great success), overcoming self-doubt, finding your super power, and many others. As I read each chapter, I thought about how I might use the tools discussed, and/or thought of others I thought would really benefit by using them. I can't wait to share this book with friends and family.

Fantastic book with real tools to guide you in living a fulfilled and authentic life.
If you are looking for inspiring stories that will provides you with tangible steps to align with your highest self and living an authentic life with purpose and joy, look no further than this book.The title of this book, “Sacred Spaces: Subtle shifts for mind, body, and home transformation,” gives you the perfect preview as to what each author provides in the book.I thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories of triumph. Each author shares a piece of their story and provides you with practices in self-love and self-care that work for them.Micole Noble’s chapter “From The Burden of Responsibility to Freedom,” had me in tears reading her story. I resonated with her stories of taking on responsibilities of everyone else around me. I am a busy Mom of 3 who is always doing, planning, and providing. I sometimes feel guilty about not being present in the moment as I keep all of the things in our lives going. Micole provides a guide and set of questions to ask yourself what it looks like when you are happy, peaceful, present, and living your ideal life.I also resonated with Alison Qualter’s chapter “Play, The Missing Ingredient in Self-Care.” Like Alison, I am also a Mom of twins plus a younger 3rd child and understand feeling overwhelmed with the demands of life. Alison provides steps on how to add play back onto your to-do list and it left me inspired to do just that!This felt like a well-timed book. As we head into the New Year, and spend time in reflection, the stories and tools in this book give you concrete steps to living your most authentic and fulfilled life. I highly recommend it!

Variety of stories, each one impactful
What a great read, with a variety of stories from the authors! I loved reading how each of the authors battled a tough situation and were able to use physical, mental or emotional tactics to help them in their recoveries. The stories were honest and raw, and quickly got into the meat of the situation, so you could feel the struggle and pain. I love the idea of a grounding mat, too! Makes total sense, especially for a yogi. ;)

Inspiring and amazing! Just the book needed for 2022
This book is so inspirational. These women describe their journeys through life and share the tools that they found along the way. Their vulnerability to share deeply personal experiences and the keys to unlocking new ways of thinking is very profound. The variety of life tools that are available in this book are outstanding. Anyone can find several of these subtle shifts that they can apply to their life. These slight moves can make a major impact to your life. For example, one of the shifts that this book has inspired me to do is to be more plant based. The different substitutions that can be used are not as difficult as I originally thought. Plus, that author shared her website that has delicious recipes. I also appreciate that each author has shared ways to further investigate these tools. During the difficult months of the pandemic, this book is a shining light to help start 2022 on a better journey. I highly recommend it.

I found these stories inspirational, haunting, and grippingly real. Everyone has circumstances to overcome, these writers took the plunge and shared their life journeys; and we can all stand to benefit from their knowledge and wisdom.

Beautiful book that you need in your life!
I’m currently in the process of healing and recovery from surgery/chronic illness and the themes in this book resonated deeply with me. It was so powerful hearing the individuals personal stories. This brings the tools and strategies they share to life in a really practical, meaningful way. I particularly enjoyed Chapter 9, learning about how something as simple and accessible as a walk in nature can have such a profound effect on our wellbeing.Highly recommend this book for everyone looking to deepen and expand their self-care toolkit.

Very moving and inspiring
This has been such a wonderful book to read at the start of a new year. It is full of heartfelt stories from real people who have faced adversity and overcome challenges and then found the courage and vulnerability to open their hearts and share their stories. I loved the structure of the book and the way each person tells a story and offers a tool to support health and wellbeing. There would be something for everyone here depending on what story connects with you the most. Highly recommended.

Ideal for anyone looking for healing in their own life.
What a wonderful book. A treasure-trove of stories of human pain accompanied by tools for healing experiences. So many ways to find healing in life but until we find someone whose own story resonates with our own, the click doesn't happen. This book offers a plethora of possibilities for anyone looking to connect with healing.

What a beautiful book, full of peoples personal stories and the journeys they have been through, told from the heart. It gives you hope and though there maybe ups and downs, human connection and awareness to life will see you through. A group of heroic truths. Perfect.

Heartfelt accounts of personal development
I love that you can dip in out of this book and get something different from it each time. Each writer has a unique personal story to tell that will help you in some way. A good book makes you feel a connection with the writer and I felt this with most, if not all of them. Thank you for all of your words of wisdom and for sharing a little bit of yourselves with us.
