The math for Serrapeptase is that each 20,000 SPU = 10 mg. Therefore, our product, with 120,000 SPU, contains 60 mg, and a product with 80,000 SPU contains 40 mg. Those are both relatively small amounts that easily fit into any size capsule. The rest of what is in the capsule is fillers. There is no need to use a larger capsule, although some sellers seem to do so to create the illusion that "bigger is better" - although the larger capsule just adds more filler, not more Serrapeptase.

High doses of Serrapeptase have only been used in "short term" clinical studies and, according to WebMD, there isn't enough reliable information to know if Serrapeptase is safe when taken for longer than 4 weeks. Please note that the label does not state not to take longer than 30 days, but rather, states that taking longer than 30 days is only recommended under the supervisions of a healthcare practitioner.
