Zilco Flower Hackamore

I think this is well made piece of tack. My horse has never wore a bit, but we were starting to notice that the cross under bitless bridle he was wearing wasn't releasing well and was dulling his responsiveness as a result. Switching to this has helped.

I have six horses, one retired. I bought this for my fjord gelding to see how he likes it. He likes his snaffle better, although he listened to me with the flower. It just wasn't what floated his boat. However, I have four other rideable horses, and I will see if any of them prefer this to a bit. I don't fault the flower at all. It's just horses. What works for one may not work for another.

Will not fit a true draft.

I love this. My horse loves this and thanks you. I put a curb chain on the bottom. My big old horse is pretty gentle, but has a lot of go, and I have excellent control with this. Ride him for miles in the wilderness with this, no problems at all.

Excellent quality. My gelding decided the metalic sound of the metal rein hook on the metal flower sounded a lot like the Angel if Death coming for him, so that's yhe end of that. Not the fault of the product.

Works great with my western headstall. My horse responds well to this Hackamore and it seems very well made..

Can't seem to make it set right on my arab. Keeps twisting. No-one else in the barn can seem to adjust it either. Frustrating.

It seems well-made, but not effective for my warmblood cross. She is a sensitive mare, but really had nothing in my hands. Not very substantial.
