In our new place we have a white sink and I bought this to protect the middle and it works perfectly. It was a bit stiff for the first maybe day or two but once you've done a couple loads of dishes or give it time to "loosen" up it lays flat against the sides of the sink. It has suction cups to hold it down as well.
