Can you please confirm (as the name on the product states) the sharpener uses a diamond edge to sharpen knives?

I don't know what it uses but I do know it is the best sharpener I've ever had. Fabulous bit of kit. Knives, scissors, my mother in laws tongue, sharpens them all!
