I'm currently beyond the point of wondering if the steel bee is actually doing anything or not. It's without a doubt extended the life of my razor. While I am a double edge safety razor guy for my face I do use a cartridge razor for my chest and always wondered why my cartridge would dull faster and not cut as close as my safety razors despite having 3-4 additional blades. The answer may be in the wet environment my shower razor is subjected too and this product definitively remedies that. The steel bee is easy to use. It pops on effortlessly and grips the razor tight. It also has a rubber base that helps it grip surfaces and slightly elevates the razor which allows for more efficient evaporation further preventing rust and corrosion. The blade I'm using has far outlived it lubrication strip so I have to use a little extra soap but the blade itself is still kicking hard and I see no signs of it slowing down. If I can get one more week of shaves the steel bee has paid for itself. Hopefully there is a large enough market and steel bee can make a model for old school double edge razor blades. There are a few vintage blades that I've really liked but are Discontinued and only sold from private sellers thus too expensive to be viable for me. If a steel bee was made to extend the life of these types of blades it would open up a whole new world to me and other wet shavers out there.. *cough cough* UPDATE: My review was written on September 11th. As of December 2nd my Dorco Pace 6 cartridge has officially kicked the can. That's simply incredible. The steel bee has paid for it self ten fold already. If the steel bee itself lasts aslong as they claim this will cut my shaving costs to about nothing.

I have very sensitive skin and normally replace my blade every 7-10 days. I first used the SteelBee on July 5 on my Gillette Edge cartridge. It’s now August 8 and I’m still using the same blade with no irritation to my skin.

Great blade protection, and seems to work with any razor. I use different brands of razors, anywhere from 1 to 5 blades, and fits all. With the protective cap, just throw in your dopp bag and good to go.

Only had this product for a littile while now but it seems like it’s doing what it’s ment to do.

Leave in my travel bag and has a tendency to slide off. Good idea though.
