This really helps during long motorcycle trips. It holds the helmet up, reducing neck stress.

I was able to put 3000 miles on my snowmobile this winter due to this device even though I had extreme shoulder and neck pain the entire time. It kept the weight of my helmet off of my neck and rested it on my shoulders besides keeping my neck and helmet draft free as an added bonus. I wore it right over my jacket even though it is much too small to go all the way around my neck and adjusted it to where I could still turn my head a bit. Its looks kinda rough from the high speed winds tearing at the material for 10 hours at a time though. I would suggest they make a snowmobile version made of waterproof material and larger for over the coat wearing. My neck is GTG but I think this is a permanent device for me just for the warmth it added on those 15 below night rides and neck fatigue at mile 299 for the day. These clear my full face Shoei RF1200 helmet clearly, so while it fills gap between shoulder/helmet it’s not so tight as to lift helmet or restrict movement also. Extended velcro strip ensures that it closes strongly and stays wrapped and in position

I feel better with my head restrained somewhat. It is relatively easy to fasten, but gets easier with practice. It seems to be holding up better than a cheaper one that lasted just about one year.

I got this because after long motorcycle rides over 100 miles my neck would be very sore. This device helps 'some' but doesn't cure the pain totally. It's a little expensive and I wish it was taller/fatter to even further minimize helmet movement. But the bottom line is it did help some so I'm happy overall. The material inside is very firm but the covering material is soft so it doesn't irritate the skin.
