Well made and functional.
This is the perfect solution to prevent back up. You will need a licensed plumber unless you are capable of digging a deep hole such as 5 feet or more.

High Quality Backwater Valve
There are a lot of backwater valves out on the market. This one is high quality and made in the USA. It is supposed to be installed outside your home but I installed it in my basement. It is a great design and has a very heavy duty flapper to stop the back flow. It has to be maintained a couple of times a year but all that means is you have to pull out the flapper assembly wash it so everything stays clean and it will work properly. It may cost more than the ones you can buy at the "Big Chain Stores", but it is worth the investment. I did my homework and found this one to be the BEST!
