Bright, Colorful, Long Lasting
I bought these for a Halloween project... You cut eyes in toilet paper rolls, drop in a glow stick, seal the ends, and put them in the bushes for spooky eyes at night. These sticks are the perfect length, fitting just right in a toilet paper roll.Every stick lit up and made a nice bright long-lasting glow. The sticks have a removable end cap that you can string a (provided) thin lanyard through if you want to hang them around your neck.Things to know:1) Because they are so short, it can be hard to break the inner chemical capsules near the ends of the sticks. My fingers got sore after a while!2) The unlit colors do not match to the lit colors. That's a natural result of the source chemicals before they mix. Clear sticks light up as blue. Yellow sticks light up as green. And you can't tell the difference between red and orange until you light them... They both look red in the unlit state.3) They have good brightness for a tiny 4" stick, but don't expect them to match a larger glow stick. There isn't as much chemical inside, so they can't really throw a big light. You'll want a dark night for full effect.I felt these were excellent value for the money and I have no buyer's remorse.

Glow sticks
Smaller than I expected but they work great. Good for many uses where flame candles are not allowed. Not really bright but nice light.

Perfect to mark tripod legs for astronomy outreach
I find these are perfect to attach to tripod legs to mark their locations during astronomy outreach sessions with the public. Keeps expensive equipment from taking a tumble. They are long lasting and easy to attach to equipment with tape or rubber bands. I've ordered several 50 packs in red and have never been disappointed. Give them to the kids when the event is over as a souvenir to take home...

Great value
I use these for work and find they stay glowing for days, not as bright as when I first pop them of course but glowing none the less.

Not quite what I expeted
I used these to mark a hiking route at night. They are good for playing around with kids and things but not bright enough for a course marker at night. Next time I will go with something longer than 4" which I hope will also be brighter. Otherwise they were fine.

Exactly what I was looking for!
This pack included 100 necklaces, and 100 bracelets. Everything came disassembled, so it was slightly inconvenient for trick-or-treaters, but we made it into a game with the kids and we got them assembled pretty quickly. The necklaces:The "string" is actually a more.. plastic? string. It made it difficult to knot, but it seemed sturdier and less problematic than other necklace glow sticks we've seen. It's also not as easy for the string to cut into small hands when wound tightly. The string loops around a plastic cap for the glowstick - the glowstick itself is a pill shaped "vial". This made it exceedingly handy to pull out and toss in some pumpkins as candles. I'm sure they could be glued in to their cap should the need arise, but they worked perfectly for us. Minus the 4 year old figuring out he could just yank on his brother's, and then run off with it. :)The bracelets:Again, came disassembled with a little coupler, and a long bracelet glow stick. These BREAK SO EASILY. You WILL break at LEAST one trying to add the coupler to only one side of the stick if you intend to pass these out to kids. I would recommend using a straw - I cut the straw to the right length, dropped the bracelet in and then put the coupler on the end, and pulled it out of the straw to place it in a pile.Other than the unsteady hands while putting the bracelet end on, they were a HIT with the kids. And the trick or treaters.
