Filter is easy to monitor and replace by utilizing this transparent enclosure. Important to use the same cover attached as the thread is different with other brand to avoid leakage.

AVOID!!! This item arrived several days late. Normally, this would be a non issue, however, I needed the filter for my house in Costa Rica and the late arrival prevented me from taking it with me. Because of the delay, I was not able to pick up the filter and install it for two months. Immediately upon installing, water started leaking from the housing. Upon closer inspection, the housing had a crack. Furthermore, I was outside of my return window. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere.

Seems like a simple enough device that it shouldn't matter where you get it. I learned only after trying two others that this is the best made. Right out of the box it was obviously much better made than AquaPure. This one accepts the US Water carbon block filters, and no leaks!

Came with no housing

These housings are solid as it comes! By all indications, I will have them around for my whole house water filtering system for as long as I have left on the planet. The reason I said "they" is because I bought two, one for my sediment filtering and the other for my carbon filter. If you're going to go with a 20"x21/2" filter system, these cannot be beat for housing those filters. If you already have a system and wish to upgrade to these filter housings only without using their heads as well, you must be careful, because not all housing threads are compatible with head threads. These are great because they allow you to see through, to know when you need to change your filter! Hope this was helpful.
