Review: From the other reviews, I was really looking forward to reading this book. However, for me, it fell short. It was not nearly as funny as I was expecting and really? I think I maybe laughed once, which to me when I read reviews saying a book is hilarious, I expect to laugh a bit more. The book itself was a bit slow. The ending was very predictable. I know that is the case with most chicklit but I found it to just be kind of just be like okay it happened, now it's over. The whole time I was reading it, I felt like the author was trying too hard to be funny and make the character something she wasn't. She felt forced in a lot of ways. That being said, I feel like I wasted my money and wish that instead I had gotten the book from the library or something instead. Review: Loved this book! It was my first read of the summer and it was a perfect way to kick it off. This book hit me on a personal level because I could so see myself in Tyler. I also know someone in my work environment that is Charlotte! Well-written, easy-to-read, and it kept my attention. I looked forward to reading it and seeing what was going to happen to Tyler next. My favorite "aha" moment in the book was realizing how much men and women are conditioned to believe in the fairy tale. We are all hoping to be chosen by that Prince (or Princess) and have that magical moment when we know it's happily ever after. We all know that this isn't the case! The way that Violet Howe puts this into thought just connected with me. I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

As a 7-time bridesmaid, a 2-time maid of honor, and never a bride, this book spoke to me. :) In fact, I had a few PTSD-type flashbacks that I had suppressed from my memory. While I don't date the level of craziness that Tyler did, I did relate to a lot of this book. I liked that it was relatively clean (some language), though I worry about reading the next one because she'll be in a full relationship and I worry it may get more descriptive than I like. Overall, though, a good, fun read.

You know it's a great book when you just HAVE to share parts of the story with whomever happens to be in the room with you at the time. What a fantastically funny journey through the life of Tyler, a wedding planner, as she creates the most memorable moments for the most unforgettable brides. You will laugh with her, cringe with her, hide under a rock with her, well, you get the idea. Tyler bares all in her diary entries as she eloquently weaves her own life's journey for love into the madness of her Tales Behind the Veils. A truly endearing story that will ultimately warm your heart as you come along beside Tyler to make sense of this thing we call LOVE.

This was a great summer read! I really enjoy Violet Howe's writing style. Full of wit and wisdom! It was an enjoyable and easy read - perfect for the poolside! Who doesn't love weddings... and seeing it from the perspective of the wedding planner was hilarious! I found myself laughing out loud several times. Such colorful characters and uproarious situations! You won't be disappointed in this book and I hope to see many more of Howe's novels in the near future!
