This book is not a self help book in the genre of 'positive thinking' and 'secret'. The author, who is nothing if not logical, has analysed his experiences as a plastic surgeon and written a brilliant book about how our Self image can bind or liberate us. He has provided practical techniques for building and nurturing a useful self image. In his view the role of the conscious brain is only to clearly communicate the goal to the subconscious (and far more powerful) brain. After that it should step out of the way. It is a book which can have a significant influence in your life -- it did for me. It can help you improve your grades, your stock market performance and your golf game. I can't think of too many books that can do that. I have given away many copies of this book over the years and everyone who has read it has been deeply impressed and a few have benefited significantly. Read it -- it will not take more than a 2-3 hours -- and you may conclude that it's the most useful book you have ever read!

Hi there,For about two years I have been reading "Self-Help" books, which tell you to think positive, believe in yourself , etc. Yes, the advice is genuine, but the way its presented is not as something we need to do to work on. I actually heard the audiobook first, but decided I needed to get a copy because this is the last Self-help book, I probably ever read. This contains step by step, practical strategies to create a life you need, and to actually help you. Its not bottled up motivation, its a slow-thoughtful read and will take up some time and effort to do all the exercises, but it will be worth it.The deluxe edition is beautiful, hard-bound, gilded pages, embossed cover. Since I plan on keeping this book for a long time, the quality if just awesome !Thanks,ArjunP.S - Please do read up on the book, check actual reviews etc, because the book was written in the 1960, but the content is still relevant, the man was a genius !

I doubt that this may be not original copy bcoz the book i have got did not have that chromatic pages on the sides like shown by other people reviews, it has simple whiye pages also The binding quality also somewhat poor. That's why given only 2 stars. My concernis about quality that's why I purchase the Rs 800 book otherwise I would have gone for the paperback version which far more cheaper than the one I have ordered. Also did not contains the things which are mentioned on the cover.

This is the original classic by Dr. Maltz, who was a plastic surgeon. He found that many patients in spite of plastic surgery, felt miserable about their looks.He asserts that the essential difference is in their mind, and that they should visualize success instead of failure. He also maintains that we all have a success mechanism within, and that if you can comb your hair or tie your shoe-laces, you can certainly succeed.A valuable addition to your self-help library. It took me some time to get through as I was busy, but this book can transform your life if you apply its message.Go ahead and get this little volume at a discounted price from Amazon.

One star less because the book didn't have the gilded edges as per description, and because the font size is small, like a paper back's, not larger as expected in a hardcover. Otherwise book is good.

Just finished reading the book. Maltz have become one of my best friends of mine. The thoughts and explanation of the concepts and the revelation of the science in every thought process is absolutely simple with explanation. Every chapter and every page reveals everything we already know in a different perspective and lets us understand what he is trying to explain. I believe in the concept of 'Everything is in the human mind' , sometimes it becomes tougher for our minds to adapt to changes and we lose track. Maltz helps and lets ourself guide us through his words. A humble book propagating immense knowledge on working of the human mind.

Ribbon place marker ? marbled endpapers ? Gilded page edges ? I didn't get any of these things, clearly this is not delux edition.Don't get me wrong, I love the book’s content but the product description is too misleading.

I cannot think of a more practical and beneficial book for mankind's mind. This is a must read for those souls who tried every possible way to get rid of depression.. past guilts.. etc stuff which block one's upsurge. The sure does have the power to talk you out of your dillema and doubts.

Psycho-cybernetics is a classic and a great read. The whole system might not be for everyone, but I do think most people will find something valuable to take away, and enjoy reading it. I like the book so much that I bought the hardback so I could have a nice copy. Sadly, the book I received did not have several features advertised in the description. The page edges are not gilded, the endpapers are not marbled, and there is no placemark ribbon.I'm not unhappy with the book itself, it's an okay edition for a reasonable price. If the description had been more accurate, I would still have bought it. But it was described as being much better, and that's very disappointing.

The contents of this book are life-changing.. IF you take the information seriously and actually put it into practice! A classic text which has led many people to great success and world fame.

I wanted a special edition of this book, what I received was not special! NO Gilded page edges, NO red ribbon place marker! The sleeve of the book says that those things should be included so I’m not convinced this is a genuine version of this book. Not happy with being mislead.

Not as advertised. Not deluxe at all. Cheap paper, pages not gilt edged. No ribbon marker. I love the book’s content but just wish it had been advertised honestly.

This book started off really well. A very interesting read, however the second half of this book lost its way. I have given this 4 stars purely because I loved the first half but found myself skipping sections of the second half.
