Can a lanyard be added to these for a child

It may be possible to attach a lanyard via the 'loop' end of the case (near the 'on' button). However, I feel that this would result in the case being 'lifted off' the reader at this point, which could result in the whole case lifting away from the reader rather than remaining flush with the reader. Also over time the actual 'loop' could break through 'wear and tear'.
