Great product for small to medium hand embroidery projects. If you are new to silk embroidery(I was) be sure to read about using silk vs cotton. Careful unwrap the threads and wind them on a spool or card immediately.Work this thread with a bit of conditioner to make it easier.

The floss arrived well packaged. I bought multiple colors and they were all beautiful. Lovely gradients. Don’t worry about the reviews that talk about tangling. Do yourself a favor and find videos that explain how to organize Chinese silk thread—you can’t treat it the same way you would treat cotton floss. As long as you use it correctly you shouldn’t have to worry about tangling. None of the skeins I bought have gotten knotted or tangled. They are a little smaller than they look in the pictures, but I was satisfied with the amount I’d had a closer look. Very nice, can’t wait to start using the thread.

Wanted to try embroidery with silk rather than the usual cotton. The colors are not seperate discrete knotted bundles. One knot holds it all colors together making it a tangled mess to sort out. Very soft with a nice sheen. After I wind them on bobbins it will work for my purposes.

A Web of Endless Knots. The packaging of this delicate thread made it nearly impossible to pull apart when I tried separating the colors to thread my bobbins. Since each color was tied together, I had to stop halfway through the first two colors because it was impossible trying to pull apart knot after knot. Colors are very beautiful in person, just wish I could’ve used them. :/

Horrible product. Can not even get the thread out of package without it sticking together and not able to untangle even with hand conditioner. Buyer beware a waste of money!

I read what one reviewer said about using lotion on the hands before handling the threads and it DOES make a difference. With the lotion, I didn't have any problems with tangles or snags, but without...it started immediately. The thread is luscious!

If you're used to dmc cotton...you are not going to understand these threads. I'm fatigued by the ignorant cross stitchers who complained. If you have dry hands...get hand cream. It's silk. That's how silk is. Is it top of the line french floss? No. But how much did you pay? There's no twist so when you're covering a larger area it lays very flat. And for that it's a great buy. And good for needle painting.
