Review: Mac Studio Display 7mo in so far so good - I have no complaints so far and it’s been 7 months of consistent use every other day for work and study as a grad student. I’ve even had it on for as long as 24 hrs without turning it off multiple times and never had any issues! So it’s built to keep up with your needs! It also never gets hot thanks to the LED tech. I haven’t had any issues with flickering or it not turning on. It has always worked for me consistently. I don’t have my BenQ lamp directly plugged in to my monitor as a power source. Instead, I have it plugged into a small extension cord that has a USB port which I keep top of my desk. I recommend the Tessan brand extension cord sold on desertcart, the best hands down (can be mounted to wall or desk). I believe your BenQ lamp may flicker if you plug it into something that does not provide adequate power. I noticed when I have it directly plugged into my Mac Studio Display using a USB to USB-C adapter (since Apple only has USB-C ports) it sometimes flickers (which may indicate that my monitor is not a significant or consistent enough power source for it). However, plugging it into a stronger power source like an actual extension outlet with a USB port resolves that issue! Overall, it’s been a game changer! No more eye strain. I’m so glad I invested in this BenQ lamp with the remote control, though there is a cheaper model, I prefer this one for the fancy remote control touch dial that sits nicely on my desk. Definitely makes it feel more like a luxury product. I enjoy all the settings it provides like brightness, warm/cool lighting, backlit/front lit or both, etc. So many options to fit your work/study needs at all hours of the day! It’s been just what I need to do work all night long on those days when I really need to get things done. Whah attracted me to this product is the fact that it isn’t obnoxiously brought, meaning it doesn’t light up the entire room if you turn it on. It provides very focused light but not too focused or direct where it only lights up a certain part. It lights up my whole desk without lighting up the whole room if that makes sense? My desk is in our bedroom and I’m glad my partner is no longer bombarded with a ton of light like if I were to turn on the ceiling fan light or a traditional desk or floor lamp. The BenQ monitor lamp really provides more controlled lighting just where you need it!
Review: Outstanding light bar for flat or curved monitor - This is an outstanding light bar. It is bright, adjustable as to temperature, brightness, and angle, and the remote is durable and functions extremely well. The back light adds aesthetic benefit but also alleviates eye strain and can be turned on or off with or without the light bar. In the image, the BenQ ScreenBar Halo is paired with a Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 OLED curved 32:9 ultrawide monitor (1800 curve radius). In order to use this device on a curved monitor, there is a small adapter that must be fitted. The one problem I encountered with this setup is that the weight of the 'rear end' of the light bar is insufficient to keep the light bar sitting at the desired angle while mounted (it will sag downward and slightly block the screen). To fix this issue, I used a small circular cutout of velcro which I applied to the back of the light bar and the back of the monitor, which holds everything in place nicely. This is a small issue that arises solely because of the curved monitor setup and I do not hold it against the device as it was apparently designed for flat monitors. I highly recommend this product and believe it is worth the premium price.

**Q: Can you link two screw bars to one dial? I still use dual monitors.**
A: YES, If you buy 2 units of ScreenBar Halo, both of them can use one wireless controller to control 2 light bars.
Both of light bars will use the same settings of wireless controller and can't set different settings individually.

Pairing and Connecting Multiple ScreenBar Halos
You can pair and connect a wireless controller with multiple lamps to operate at the same time.
If the distance between the controller and these lights is within 1 meter, the settings of these lamps will change simultaneously.
1. Unplug the lamp.
2. Make sure that the power indicator is on (the wireless controller is activated), and the wireless controller is within 1 meter of the lamp.
3. While holding the Light Mode Switch button, tap and hold the My Favorite Mode button for about 5 seconds. You will see the function indicators on the wireless controller start flashing simultaneously.
4. After the indicators start flashing, cover the light sensor (on the reverse side of the light bar) of the lamp you wish to pair then plug in the USB power cord within 15 seconds. If the controller and the lamps are successfully paired and connected, all the indicators will turn off and the controller will go into sleep mode.

**Q: Can you put a Logi webcam on top of the lightbar?**
A: Webcam Accessory will be available soon in BenQ Store. 
However, some of the users have simply added webcam onto ScreenBar Halo without accessory. We recommend to try it first without accessory.

**Q: Can front and rear lights be controlled independently? There are times I may only want the rear (ambient) light in operation.**
A: ScreenBar Halo features three settings: front light, back light and both. You may adjust the brightness and color temperature in every setting. When both lights are on, they cannot be controlled independently.

**Q: Can you connect one or more computers at the same time? I have a work computer and a gaming rig that I would love to get this hooked up to.**

ScreenBar Halo is a USB-powered monitor light bar mounted on top of the monitor to light up the desk and to reduce the contrast between the brightness of the screen and the surrounding environment. Users can adjust brightness level and color temperature with the wireless controller that comes with the light. If you have a dual monitor setup, you can place the light on the monitor that you spend more time on, or simply change its position to the other monitor when needed. ScreenBar Halo guarantees a 500lux lighting coverage of 63 x 40 cm on your working area, which will be sufficient even for dual monitor users.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High-quality Light I Didn't Know I Needed - Great Value Overall

This is a product I didn't know I needed until I got it. Had seen several YouTube videos talking about it, but didn't realize how much of a lighting difference it would make until I got one. Finally pulled the trigger and wow, it's great! I prefer to work in a darker office, but sometimes need a bit of light. This lights up my keyboard and desk without taking over the room. Lots of variability in color and temperature. The separate controller is a nice extra, and the favorites feature lets me return to my default setting if I ever need to adjust it brighter or dimmer for a bit. Not cheap, but well made and worth it.
